Great defensive teams need players with great IQ, not just good 1v1 defense. I think Kris Middleton IQ's was important to the Bucks 2021 run and he is missed deeply when he's out.

Defense has gotten worse since Jrue was traded. They were so well balanced on defense with a fully fit Middleton, Jrue, Giannis and a more mobile Lopez

Now you got a bum ass defender in Dame, Middleton can't piece together decent games anymore and it looks like the injuries have taken their toll on him. Lopez knees turn slower than a goods train.
