Didnt the Bucks coach before him get fired after winning the title?
Toronto's coach got fired a year after winning the title.

yall bring race into everything, when its not applicable. :mjpls:
especially when NBA has always hired black coaches

Wow very surprised by this firing.

He was doing pretty good too so I don't know why the Bucks chose to get rid of him so quickly...I wonder if Giannis wasn't feeling him so much compared to Coach Bud 🤔 I feel like he was throwing some shade at Griffin a few weeks ago.

Somebody either wasn't confident enough or happy with him on a personal level (maybe both) for them to abruptly fire him. If Doc does get the job...look I know a lot of people dislike Doc due to constantly coming up short in the postseason but he's a great coach (better than most currently coaching) underneath all those woes. He's defensive-minded similar to Bud so maybe Milwaukee wanted to go back in that direction.

Terry bouncing was a red flag
That story didn't make any sense. Hopefully, now that Griffin is out, the full story gets leaked. Dude packs up and moves to Miluakee and quits over a simple disagreement. He was only there for a few months too

Being a head coach in the NBA sucks. When your team wins, the star players get all the credit and when they lose you get all the blame. On top of that the players have all the power so even if you are doing a good job as the coach if one star player doesn't like you or your approach....they can get you gone

If they hire doc rivers they're gonna crash out in 2nd round.

This is hilarious.

The fact they're looking for him tells me griffin was "too rough" with the players. So they're gonna hire the "players coach".
Well they lost in the first round last year.

Lost in the second round the year before that...

You really think Griffin would've had them in the Conference Finals? I don't know, the East has sleeper teams (Miami, NY, Philly) that could easily knock the Bucks off.

Every year for the past 3 or 4 years we think it's Boston or Milwaukee's conference to lose...yet one or both of these teams always gets knocked out early or inevitably lose to one another the before the Conference Finals even begins.

At least with Doc they'll have a coach with experience and improved defense and sufficient offense. I don't see Dame and Giannis having that kinda 3-1 or 3-2 situational collapse like Kawhi and PG or Embiid and Harden suffered in the end.

That's basically it - Dame's 33, how many good years you think he's got left in the tank? This wasn't a learn on the job scenario here. Should've never hired him, makes total sense to pull the plug when you realize it ain't gonna work with him.

I'm with you, but to the bolded, it's generally assumed that Griff was who Giannis favored over Nick Nurse or Kenny Atkinson. Supposedly (and this is anecdotally), the team figureheads wanted either Atkinson or Nurse. Ironically and ultimately, Giannis either put the call in or signed off on cutting Griff loose.
