Singer and rapper Jhene Aiko has called out negative comments after she revealed she lost her home in the Palisades fire. On Thursday, January 9, 2024, the artist took to her Instagram comments to respond to the criticism, writing:

"The fact some of you think I have Paris Hilton money is wild. I don't got it like that, but I do have a big, loving family that is worth more than anything."

Aiko's remarks come after she shared in an Instagram post on Thursday morning that her home burned down in the Los Angeles wildfires. While several followers commented with heartfelt messages, there were others who began trolling her, claiming it is easy for her to rebuild because she is wealthy.
Los Angeles and its neighboring cities have been engulfed in wildfires since Tuesday, January 7, 2025. The disaster was fueled by high winds (100 mph), and by nightfall, it spread over 2,900 acres. Furthermore, reports from Thursday saw new fires in San Fernando Valley and Ventura County.

SMH people are weird. Even if they had billions, seeing your property and everything in it gone in moments isn’t something you can just “replace.”


You can’t buy back the memories, the priceless items with sentimental value. And buying another multimillion dollar domicile isn’t easy or fun.


I feel bad for ANYONE that lost anything in those fires. My family in LA was able to get to LV for the time being. Ish is scary out here. Bezos could’ve lost a property and I would feel for him and his family as well
