And why do you think that is? The things that go on in the streets run counter God's teachings in all Abrahamic religions. Like the breh above said. They can claim to be religious but following the principles would another thing entirely.
Let's look at some common issues eh?
Glorifying the streets? Stealing, killing, and worshipping money is idolatry so you would stay out of them to be right with God.
Single motherhood? People would wait til marriage to have sex and children would be born with both a father and mother present.
There is lack of shame in the culture regarding any of this. No accountability. "God got me cuz" while performing immoral actions is a misguided belief that they have to do these things in order to survive and yes some had to. But most now do not.
That’s part of the problem. We DONT have these convos and address the elephants in the room bc people are tiptoeing around scared to be called a c00n
