what jurisdiction would they have? Think it would have to be Memphis, he's reportedly enrolled and taking online classes, might as well get him on campus for next semester and have him around the team and some structure, but sit out for the year unless Penny is desperate. They got a capable enough team to make the tourney this year, they don't need him to actually play with that veteran squad.
When have they ever needed jurisdiction to suspend someone?

What a feeling. Your future hanging in the balance, you life about to be ruined forever. Bout to be stuck in a cell for decades thinking "why tf did I do that?". All the fame money and status you're on the brink of obtaining. All your goals and opportunities vanishing before your 19th birthday.....

Then suddenly, you're free :ahh:

They called in probably one of the only people who could make that deal happen. Randy Grossman, the former US Attorney for San Diego, great call from a legal standpoint, but it's def. one of those cases that NO ONE else could get a deal like that.

He spent like 2 years working side by side Summer Stephan and her chief deputy on investigations, so they sat down.

He pulled rank over the prosecutor, who is out in the El Cajon office.

Man some of yall seem like yall wanted him to crash and not get another shot. This is some odd energy to have for a kid.
i dunno about you but a lotta knuckleheads dont learn shyt when they get off. Here in WA State 90% of the kids who are kicking in doors, doing stick ups, and spinning on each other and innocent citizens are repeat offenders who get off due to a lax judge. I think everyones just tired of our young black men perpetuating violent crime with no real end in sight.

His other attorney Troy Owens, the one wearing a bow tie was going to get Williams like 7 years in prison lol if they went to trial

He doesn't have the relationships, credibility, reputation, experience to pull off a deal like that. Put it like this, that dude Grossman is partner at one of the biggest firms in San Diego, not saying he DID, but he could potentially hire the DA he negotiated with, for like 100k more than what he makes at the DA's office, like three years from now. That kind of favor comes back around.

This is why Justice Department lawyers always almost settle with big firms and banks, because they will eventually make the transition to white collar law.
