Looks like NBC is playing hardball with Micheals, and using Tirico as negotiating leverage.

Tirico is alright. I feel like a lot of these Breen, Turico, etc vanilla play-by-play dudes are interchangeable. Not much that distinguishes them from one another. Professional, but basic.

Tirico doesn't belong in that category. This guy can call golf, tennis, basketball, and football at a professional top level. I don't think anybody in the industry has his versatility.

Seeing this and having to suffer through Marv Albert butcher basketball and boxing it got me wondering.

It's crazy seeing nikkas like Mark Jones still at midlevel he been doing games on ABC since 92 if I remember right.
