Couple thoughts:

Yeah GB and Arum are rumored to start working together, but that is GB fighters, not Haymon fighters. If Algieri has a working relationship with TR and HBO wants to keep putting Algieri on, then this fight will be a lot harder to make than they are letting on.
Sounds like the landscape of boxing may change next year - year of Haymon's attempted takeover - but we have heard no rumors of Haymon and TR wanting to work together.

Also, we all know that unless you are the true champion (Garcia at 140) these belts are garbage. Broner getting a belt doesn't establish him anymore resume wise. It may improve his marketability some, but it's Garcia's belt that actually means your are King at 140. Matthysse right now is a better opponent than Algieri if he is coming off a Pacquiao loss...now if Algieri wins...he still won't be available IMO - Pac will either want a rematch or TR will put him against one of their top fighters, JMM, Bradley, etc.

What I meant was, how is it silly for Broner to call out the RING #1 ranked fighter in the same division but it's not silly for Pacquiao to call out a boxer a division below, who's never fought at Welterweight, to a 144 catchweight? It's not even at 140 where Algieri is a champion

Algieri hasnt earned a shot at the Welterweight Championship...he's never even faced a Welterweight before. That's much more crazy to me, than Broner calling out Matthysse.


It would be like saying that Erislandy Lara was crazy for calling out Canelo Alvarez, but GGG isnt for calling out Demetrius Andrade for a 157 catchweight for GGG's title. And then the person also says that Lara should've been calling out Andrade over Alvarez because Andrade has a belt and Canelo doesnt

Broner's gonna be waiting for awhile since Algieri's gonna have to rest a couple months after Pac.......Might as well go after Juventud Herrera, show these "fake ass champions" what it's all about

Rules for "super" champs are different from regular champs....... he'll be defending against Postol before we see that Herrera rematch. WBA has Jessie Vargas to enforce their rules upon

With a belt or without one, Matthysse is a tougher and better opponent....any fighter about something should call out the very best. And that's what AB is doing.

I wouldn't be surprised if he beat Manny, but I don't know how he'll deal with the speed and power. Ruslan followed him around throwing one shot at a time, Pac will be on him throwing combos.

Broner/Algieri is a toss up to me. I'd be rooting for both of them to win.

They've both stated they will not fight unless it's for 8 digits (at least 10 milly) and is a PPV fight.

A Broner/Swift fight will prolly get them both 2 mil each at the most if they really promote that shyt with a nationwide tour. I don't see them nikkas pulling in 10 mil a piece for that fight although its a big match up.

Good to know. Good thing it's on record that AB has never turned down a match presented to him and that both Garcia and Broner are BOTH on video, within the past month, saying they will not fight each other unless it's for a ton of money. But let's not let that get in way of your opinion
