People keep bringing up the Colts going 2-14 last year.... Kerry Collins and whoever that other clown they had playing QB were not even back up QB good. The Colts front office knew what they were doing when they had an absolute scrub playing QB as if there weren't better QB options :bryan:

I don't think the Colts would have been that bad with an average QB. Also the AFC South is a far less competitive division than the NFC East and NFC North thanks to the Titans and Jags. The Luck justification is pathetic. :pacspit:

Na mean (and nice sig btw :noah: )

And even last year, the Colts almost beat New fukking England with Curtis Painter at the helm IN NEW ENGLAND
They lost on a last second FG vs Pittsburgh
They beat The Texans :hula:
And they were in most of there games except for that game vs the Saints that was horrid. But hey, 62yr old Kerry Collins, what you expect

The colts are the same exact team as last year except they have luck.

they are not the same exact team. They turned over 69 percent of their roster. You know who was almost the same exact team except for a change to its rookie QB? The Washington Redskins.:youngsabo:

But Luck was basically running Peyton Mannings offense

no, he was running Bruce Arians offense which is demonstrably different from the Tom Moore offense Peyton Manning ran.

But Luck was basically running Peyton Mannings offense, gotta give credit where credit is due, his team is made up of basically mid round draft picks and over the hill veterans.

No he wasn't. Offense Bruce Arians installed isn't what Manning was doing.

Brehs. Look at Lucks numbers. He obviously wasn't all that. And te Colts were so bad because of fukking Curtis Painter. Without him, and with a real QB, they were a 7 win team at least.

Painter started 8/16 games. So explain why they sucked in the other 8 also?

And what kind of lazy analysis in this, you mean in the NFL if you have a good QB you win more games? :dwillhuh:

No. No one in the front office knew what they were doing which is why they all got fired. Unless their master plan was to deliberately tank and get thrown out of the league.

It really is painful listening to people who probably didn't watch a single 2011 Colts game invent reasons why they were bad.

So your saying they didn't tank the season? :rudy:
It was known Manning wasn't gonna play that year and possibly ever again
You tell me how does anyone think "Retired Journeymen QB Kerry Collins" would be an answer?
Really bruh :stopitslime:

Thats like the New York Jets signing Jamarcus ::jawalrus: and saying they not tanking this 2013 season.

If you can't even admit this obvious fact, well its clear your bias has you lookin jive retarded.
I understand ppl got fired afterwards. Thats all part of the business
Every year on every team players and coaches are fired.

Yes that's 100% what I'm saying.

No it wasn't. They initially believed Manning was going to come back. Then they put him on the PUP list. Then when they eventually realized he wasn't coming back soon, they said OH shyt and signed Collins a week after training camp ended. A couple days before the third preseason game. Even after signing Collins the Colts STILL thought they'd possibly be able to get Manning off the PUP list and have him return. Even going into October there was still speculation on him possibly returning.

Collins was a desperation move made long after any quality FA QB was gone. Your "proof" that the Colts tanked is them doing a dogshyt job handling the backup QB position. Something they did poorly for over 10 years.

No you clearly don't understand. The GM got fired. The president got fired. The coach got fired. The OC got demoted. The DC got fired. Who the fukk intentionally tanks only to lose their job? I'm supposed to believe that Caldwell who desperately wants to be a NFL HC was losing games on purpose and cost himself a job? I'm supposed to believe Bill Polian who was trying to set up his son as the future GM tanked and got himself AND his son thrown in the bushes? :heh:

It's pathetic watching you dudes concoct this stupid ass "Colts tanked 2011" conspiracy theory to undermine what Luck did in 2012. The amazing thing is you're doing it for no reason. The arguments that Luck carried a 2-14 team into the playoffs don't even make sense because the 2012 Colts are nothing like the 2011 Colts. From coaching, to front office personnel, to roster to schemes on both sides of the ball.

First off, this they didn't know if he'd play til the last second is BULLshyt
He had fukking NECK surgery, it was already known he wasn't gonna be ready
They "HOPED" but just like RG3's knee.. you couldn't put a time table on it
And instead of ever being cleared, he kept having more and more surgeries on it
To find a backup is one thing, to go after a dude hanging out with :jawalrus: is a totally different thing
If your coaching job is on the line like you say, you don't go after Collins point blank period.
Then they turned to painter mid season. Why not get one of the many more capable QB's who were just waiting for a job?

I need you to answer that for me, thank you very much sir

Look at Peytons rookie numbers stats dont mean shyt esrly on,Luck actually took chacnes and threw deep a lot where RG3 had tons of yards off screens

Its semantics anyway Luck gonna have a hof career while RG3 is gonna be injured all his career and forced to stay in the pocket:flabbynsick:

Who were these many more capable QBs that were available midseason?

Better yet who were the many more capable QBs that were available at the end of August when they signed Collins?

I want to know who these QBs are that would've been able to come in off the street, pick up the playbook and lead the Colts to wins?

When's the last time you've seen a QB signed at midseason do anything special period?

This whole Colts were tanking thing is pure fantasy and isn't supported by anything the Colts did or said on or off the field. It's just some BS people like you came up with to detract from the Colts going from 2-14 to 11-5. The Colts turning their record around doesn't matter because "they were just tanking the year before."

Im A Redskins fan and I think Russell Wilson should take it, he rose from bench player to 11 game winner and won a playoff game beating my Redskins even though post-season isnt considered for the award.

They got rid of bums for bums. Nobody noteworthy or even decent joined that team

The redskins didnt have alfred morris last year and he was the number 2 back in the league.

you should tell that to the Colts fans who are excited about TY Hilton and Coby Fleener. (if you dont watch the NFL that much, you should just admit it because you told on yourself here)

no doubt, Morris was a great signing, but the Redskins did not turn over 69 percent of its roster. Not even close. You should probably stop here and not respond to any more posts.:smugbiden:

This feeds into a culture of pinning to much of team results on individuals without applying fair context.

Russ and RGIII were better.

we all know your history on this site. You are a race troll, and have always been. I dont think you have a single post in The Coliseum that doesnt have some race trolling in it.

And this thread is about who should win ROY, not who will have the better career.
