*Did the most with the least

*Took worst team to 11 wins

*RGIII had 2nd leading rusher in league on team

*Luck was asked to do most as a QB

*Shanahan developed scheme for RGIII

*Seattle had a monster defense

There you have it. They just said this. They think its pretty obvious who should win.

Honestly it's close.. But it's human nature to just pick that guy that looks most like your son and build an anecdotal argument around it while ignoring key statistics...

Jason Taylor said the same thing this morning.

I really don't understand it at all.....as much as Luck has had to shoulder the load and play with a weaker team, he should be 3rd behind RGIII and Russ...they have both had better rookie seasons.

They don't think its close. That's the point of the thread. Greenberg and Schlereth thinks its pretty obvious while Golic didnt make an argument otherwise before agreeing with them.

Confirmation Bias : Both of them picked Luck to be #1 pick before the draft too.

That's like Kirk Herbstret who said that the only reason Louisville beat Florida is because Florida didn't care as much Louisville.

Colts are by far the most overrated team this season....and I love Luck as a player...but he's not the rookie of the year.

On one hand, if you take the Colt's record a face value (which most basic analysts do), you have to acknowledge that Luck's play drastically improved the team and that his particular 4th quarter play was invaluable. That could get him rookie of the year compared to RGIII and Wilson, who had better pieces around them

The problem is that most advanced statistics say that the Colts 11-5 record is basically a fluke aided by a weak schedule. In most normal years that actual would have a losing record. Over the year the Colts have allowed more points than they have scored. The team will likely miss the playoffs next year while Seattle and Washington are primed for multi year runs. Disregard the win loss record and Wilson/RGIII clearly had better years. Smart CACs like Aaron Schatz and Bill Barnwell realize this

The scheme argument is BS too
