Some of ya'll are selfish as fukk. Do you really think he'd have the same level of success if he didn't have a wife at home caring for his children? You really think he'd be able to do 300 tours a year and film for movies and shyt with two young kids? You think he bought 10 properties with no assistance from his wife? You think she never made call, made an appointment, put down on a deposit or did a negotiation on his behalf? All the shyt that he pays people to do now. If you look at marriage in terms of an outfit, your spouse is the shirt or the bottoms, not an accessory. You NEED that person to complete the outfit and I'm sure she's served her purpose and then some in 12 years. Pay her! Ya'll tripping.
These nikkas be thinking somebody making 5 million or so a year should pay 30 grand a year in child support. :russ:

I didn't make any references to "stranger raising kid" or nannies...and you will never read me write any vulgar slogans about women. I think that there should be a legal cap on how much ANYBODY should get after a divorce regardless of how much money the breadwinner makes. Should be based on living expenses and possibly education/training if the spouse wants to eventually get off his/her butt and work for a living.
I'm assuming the house she's going to live in is paid for...Epps is already going to pay child support/school/etc.

What entitles her to 300K a year plus?
Because it allowed him to make $1m+ per year while they were married and she was taking care of home. That's 12 years of additonal income, investments, etc. He has the money to pay her.

At the end of the day, we are a nation of laws and the courts made their ruling/decision.
I'm of the opinion that divorced spouses should get minimum living expenses, education paid for, and a place to live.

I also think that women begging or having lawyers fight to take money from ex husband beyond reasonable transition money set women back each time.

I remember reading about Shaq's wife...deciding she wanted a divorce and then making sure she filed in Cali where the laws are more favorable to begging ex wives rather than where they were currently living in FL.

I thought...wow, what an example for young girls.

So, how much should he be paying to raise a child? Child support should be for basic necessities only. Food, clothing, shelter, that's all. Anything else would be mutually decided by the parents anyway. Now, if you say he has to pay for school and medical expenses out of pocket, that's cool. But, by handing HER the money you're basically letting HER make the decisions and pocket the difference.

I wonder if people in that economic level and bracket measure their money in terms of monthly, (regardless he'll be coming up with that 40k) I've heard from a family member in finance, that many actors, rappers, and such have such non traditional payment schedules, they often go into credit debt, or loans are called in, only to pay it off at the last minute....Epp's star has dimmed considerably, but I wonder what his or some like his, income is like on a monthly/yearly basis.

A small price to pay when Mike gets to retain all his properties and if she gets married within that 6 yr time frame those alimony payments stop. I don't agree with him having to split royalties with his ex from any of his movies.
