Mike Colter as luke cage is TRASH

Cage in this book was still fun

I don't get the complaints on Colter at all in here. He was given nothing to work with in this at all. Every superhero piece tv or film gets to work with the hero and their everyday alter ego regular joe persona(Clark Kent/Superman.. Peter Parker/Spiderman). Luke Cage was literally Luke Cage 24/7/365. They shut down his bar in season one, his barbershop in season two was closed for business, and they killed off Cottonmouth, etc.. This was a writing issue imo. There was nothing for him to do in this whatsoever but walk up and down the same streets in Harlem over and over again. Both seasons were 60% filler. He literally had no storylines

Word is the MCU is going to recast Luke Cage....I agree Colter aint it....he was bland. Luke is suppose to be big, muscular but also have a natural hard edge ...physically intimidating / imposing...altho Colter is big...he aint scaring anyone....I try to think who fits the bill and I honestly cant come up with someone who fits.

Yeah, i agree it wasn't really Colter that made it corny but the writing. If they bring him back to the mcu like daredevil i wouldn't be mad. but they have to improve the writing.

Colter was acceptable, the problem was the dialogue and the fact that they got rid of Cottonmouth, so a great villain was missing and along with that most of the show's tension.

Which was kind of the same problem with She Hulk and the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Lame villains = less tension = poor quality

And why would some want some stereotypical street talking guy?
