I'll try not to derail, but I must respond to this.
I can't relate to what? All the racism you guys are displaying? Yeah its sickening. Just look at the messages being left in my reputation comments. It's really sad how the majority of you guys here act. Don't you realize how hypocritically stupid you all are being? Fighting so called "racial injustice" with racism yourselves? Just like the chaos in the streets right now, it makes zero sense. And all this over a scumbag thug.
Actually, looking at the details from a place of disinterest, it's apparent that the protests and rioting go beyond the killing of Mike Brown. It makes perfect sense when one starts to delve into the way the authorities in Ferguson seem to perceive the Black citizens of said location. Mike Brown's death - irrespective of how you characterise him - was a catalyst.
Lets look at the facts:
Mike Brown Robbed a store. FACT
Mike Brown had illegal drugs in his system. FACT
MIke Brown charged and assaulted a police officer. FACT.
Mike Brown told the officer "you wont shoot me p*ssy". FACT
These are the FACTS whether you like them or not.
Those aren't facts. They're fallacious statements that seek to deter understanding that cops in America shouldn't be allowed to be judge, jury and executioner.
Mike Brown shoplifted. Yes. The laws of the land don't suggest that's an offence that demands death.
Mike Brown had marijuana in his system. Yes. The laws of the land do not demand death for that.
Mike Brown, according to several independent witnesses, did
NOT, charge the police officer. Instead, according to several observers, he put his hands up. The physical evidence on whether the cop was assaulted by Mike Brown is dicey at best.
Mike Brown did
NOT say "you won't shoot me p*ssy". The witnesses claim he said "Don't shoot, don't shoot". If you have any testimony from independent witnesses to support him saying "you won't shoot me", while, I might add, Wilson was already shooting at him, supply them.
So why support this!? And why be racist in your "support", THAT IS STUPID. This whole case wasn't even about race anyway STOP TRYING TO MAKE IT BE. EVERYTHING DOESN'T HAVE TO BE RACIAL. STOP BEING RACIALLY SENSITIVE and you're life will be more better. I PROMISE YOU.
I support it, because from my perception, Wilson was in the wrong, and there's something rotten in Ferguson. The system in that part of the world stinks. Their general disregard is troubling, and should trouble anyone. I doubt anyone could have stopped it being racial. It became racial when the Black witnesses were called untrustworthy for no cogent reason, but an anonymous White woman's call to a radio station was accepted as gospel. That's just one example. It's not solely about race, but one suspects race has played a part here.
