Ricans should back cotto equally like they do Trinidad, most ricans seem to praise Trinidad for never losing to a mexican... As if ricans really hate Mexicans or take the rivalry very serious.

1. After Cotto said "I don't fight for Puerto Rico, I fight for me" leading up to the first Margarito, he was NEVER going to get Trinidad level love. Tito was charismatic, waved the flag harder than anyone where Cotto is more an introvert.

Verdejo has a shot to be equally loved as Trinidad if he keeps winning, Cotto's chance came and went.

2. The Undefeated v. Mexico angle is really not that serious, especially since Cotto only lost once to a Mexican because of AntoniLowe's cement gloves. The in-ring rivalry is serious though.
