The label should have told Migos to tighten this up a bit. I like the album. The highlights of it are great, but there is some shyt I’ll never play again too ... unlike Culture 1.
the problem is quality. artist today just arent talented enough. travis put out birds a year and a half ago and it still gets play...not enough transcendent music coming outI actually think labels are trying to push more content now a days. Especially with this "trap/hype" hip hop.
The sound is so similar and easy to forget so if you don't have new material people forget about you very quickly.
I mean a few months ago Future and Young Thug dropped a co-album that if done a few years back would still be getting heavy spins just off the clout of the two artists.
Streaming has changed the game heavy.
Before 1 album could keep a rapper relevant for like 2 years. 1 year for promotions, singles, appearances, hype etc. Then another year to actually perform the songs, tour, release music videos etc.
I mean 2 Chainz put out 7 full length projects ("mixtapes" and albums) from Jan of 2015 until now. That's wild.
He's not lying. These nikkas have changed the game with their 3 6 mafia-inspired flow.
Even Travis has resorted to copying them in his recent work.
Nah... fukk them nikkas. The fact that obscure, hard-to-understand, slang-heavy, fast flow, underground hood shyt is a defining factor of mainstream music just 3-4 years after they started that thing is kinda legendary
These songs are too long
Same flows and cadences. Migos stale as fukk
