Will was the first choice to play Neo. He passed. We got Keanu. So the Wichowskis always envisioned him as a black man which makes sense when you see most of the people in Zion, at least the speaking roles, are black people

Which is how Im looking at it. More matrix is a good thing because theres so much to do and explore in that universe and it's a bit of a shame all we have is the animatrix, a few video games, and that online game that is canon i believe.
