Iron man is op as hell once you get air superiority. Pair him up with Nico, Empower+Redraw Air Superiority twice, give him vampire essence/major strength tonic, or the bleed combat item and watch the fireworks.

Wanda is another slept on OP character. Her detonate skill, plus expand area skill will wipe the entire board in one play (if theres an explosive)

Probably one of the top tier characters with a good deck and can mix with just about any party combination. Air superiority with the redraw buff is pretty much a nuke

Not really, a lot of them will continue to naturally level up on their own

They still get enhancements to their passive abilities if you continue to level up their friendship. But i would recommend getting everyone to 5 first before focusing on going beyond max friendship with anyone.

Finally got around to playing this last night. Only played for about an hour, which seemed to have been just long enough to finish the tutorial. Surprisingly, I'm already liking this more than I anticipated.

I was very on the fence but I should've trusted Firaxis

The combat is addictive, and I'm enjoying the story more than I thought I would, same with the midnight suns I wasn't familiar with like Magik and Nico. I do skip through some of the abbey convos at times though.



I wish it worked better on the steam deck though. You gotta do some tinkering and then symlink the save since they're in different folders between PC and the deck if you want your save files to sync.
