The combat for this is so fire once you get deep into the game and have most of the cards unlocked for your units. Every unit feels strong in their own way and you can get creative with your party comps. They really did a great job of translating each hero’s powers and playstyle to the turn-based gameplay
I’ve got all my units pretty stacked now and they’re all viable individually, so now I’m getting creative with party comps and seeing which ones are the most devastating. So far I think SpiderMan, Ironman, and Hunter is my best pure damage/crowd control combo
SpiderMan was kind of average when I first unlocked him but now he pulls off some of the craziest sequences. If you draw that opportunist card at the beginning of a battle, you can obliterate the whole map with multiple environmental attacks and chain/knockback attacks within a single card play or two
IronMan is always a solid all-rounder but I’ve got his deck built to build up heroism and redraws super fast. Stack a couple redraws on Air Superiority and he’s doing 287 damage to every enemy on the map
. The heads up and leave it to me skill cards are great buffs that give you extra redraws, more cards, and Block along with heroism
My Hunter has heal and fortify as skill cards but everything else is high damage and has quick and/or knockback. Plus the balanced collar will add 3 cards to your had after a few plays so he can go on some crazy runs all on his own. I’ve had a couple of battles where everyone else gets downed and he’ll carry the team for 2-3 turns on his own for the win
