The gameplay loop is low key repetitive, but very addictive. I've been playing this game and multi tasking doing other shyt at the time, enjoying myself. lol
New game plus apparently exists for this and you get to start over again with all the characters and upgrades. Not sure how replayable this will be though,
@Gizmo_Duck overall good recommendation.

Yeah, i honestly have a lot of fun replaying the optional missions, by the time i get through with my first run idk how much game will be left to experience in a new game +

By the time i finish this I’ll just be waiting for the season passes and expansions

The combat for this is so fire once you get deep into the game and have most of the cards unlocked for your units. Every unit feels strong in their own way and you can get creative with your party comps. They really did a great job of translating each hero’s powers and playstyle to the turn-based gameplay

I’ve got all my units pretty stacked now and they’re all viable individually, so now I’m getting creative with party comps and seeing which ones are the most devastating. So far I think SpiderMan, Ironman, and Hunter is my best pure damage/crowd control combo

SpiderMan was kind of average when I first unlocked him but now he pulls off some of the craziest sequences. If you draw that opportunist card at the beginning of a battle, you can obliterate the whole map with multiple environmental attacks and chain/knockback attacks within a single card play or two

IronMan is always a solid all-rounder but I’ve got his deck built to build up heroism and redraws super fast. Stack a couple redraws on Air Superiority and he’s doing 287 damage to every enemy on the map :damn:. The heads up and leave it to me skill cards are great buffs that give you extra redraws, more cards, and Block along with heroism

My Hunter has heal and fortify as skill cards but everything else is high damage and has quick and/or knockback. Plus the balanced collar will add 3 cards to your had after a few plays so he can go on some crazy runs all on his own. I’ve had a couple of battles where everyone else gets downed and he’ll carry the team for 2-3 turns on his own for the win:wow:

Spider-man + Oppurtunist + Nano Weave heroism + chain kick = god tier, thats if the stage has a lot of stuff to kick around

I’ve been using everyone but Magik, Blade, and Nico are becoming my favorites. I’ve done a full 180 on her since the beginning. If you use her like she should be used, a support with high damage buffs, plus her curse ability she becomes pretty powerful.

Robbie is high risk high reward, he’s still fun to use but you really gotta be careful because a lot of his moves drain his health and regain health.

Same with Strange, he and Nico seem kind of underpowered at first but once you start utilizing their redraw abilities and heroism buffs you start to really see how they shine. Being able to pull off a team up or heroic move right off the bat in round 1 can clean up some of those optional missions to get the extra star.

I also still don’t have Wolverine or Wanda yet though.

Wolverine specializes in chain attacks that have lifesteal or other buffs. His main skill card is berserk that draws 3 wolverine cards and gives them lifesteal for healing. He also has a heal move than can be used even if he’s down. He basically draws attention with taunt attacks while healing himself with chain combos. You can go on some crazy runs with berserk

Wanda specializes in AoE attacks/buffs and she’s kind of weak with her default deck at the stage of the game you get her, but once upgraded she’s becomes a powerhouse as well. She’s a little trickier to use than Strange or Nico, but can pull off some crazy shyt and has some unique abilities

Finally got wolverine, damn he’s like a combination of blade and spider-man. This is why i love this game you really get those nice grandiose action moments you cant really get in other marvel team up games. You can’t really express your power set like you can in this game. Like, the characters feel substantially different but true to their skill set and personality.

For example, if this was a action game like ultimate alliance you couldn’t really get a real grasp on someone like doctor strange, you’d just be shooting projectiles. But in this game you can actually manipulate enemies and team mates like how he would in the comics or movies.

Its amazing how many moves each character has I’m still unlocking a bunch of new stuff for everyone. I’m at the point where i got more moves than I even know what to do with, especially for Hunter. I got like a dozen cards i haven’t even tried for them

I also completely forgot about doing the quest stuff around the abby grounds. I did a lot of it today and just got a bunch of new skills, unlockable costumes and items, and money. Upgraded every facility, didn’t even know the open world was that big lol

As soon as I started getting bored of the optional mission they went and changed the whole shyt up on me with new enemies and an entirely new region. These new armored brutes are a$$holes:deadrose:

Did you bump up the difficulty after the first Wolverine intro mission? If you did how does it feel. I got the option and moved it up but I didn’t get to play one yet.

I’m on heroic 3, i just unlocked the next tier up and i think im gonna chill lol it’s not even worth it because you barely survive the match so the extra rewards you get don’t equal the losses you took.

Yeah, I'm just getting started but I'm enjoying myself. I should'nt have questioned them after the XCOMs.

Anyone play this on their steam deck?

Thread got me tempted but $70? The last 2 $70 on my radar were dodged bullets.

And this site is straight retarded when it comes to the Marvel shyt.

...I'll wait a little longer :manny:
