I loved Xcom and based solely of that I will give this game a chance. People easily dismissing this but I have a feeling a few years down the line it might get the classic status. Those dismissing this due to the card mechanic should really read up on this game also perhaps try Xcom to get an idea of what you will be getting but with Marvel characters.

I'm definietely interested in this game so once it comes out I'll be getting it. Interested to see what type of mods the PC community come with.

God this game looks good lol

Between this and Sparks of Hope i’m :eat:

Yea I agree, the card aspect is not as bad as people are making it seem. The only thing that’s disappointing to me is the aspect of having to use a created character, I would rather just use known Marvel characters.

Yeah not fond of the created character surprisingly (it is x-com after all) but hopefully its not mandatory to bring them into battle and they just act as an out of battle avatar

I dont understand people being turned off by the cards. It doesn’t greatly change the idea behind the game which is a turn based tactical strategy game. It only adds a bit more layers other than spamming attacks or overwatch/defend.

The level of spectacle with this game is so much higher quality than anything in X-Com

it literally removes options, and instead of challenging players with complex scenarios versus all available tools, it inserts on luck and probability into the mix.

not rng on the shot but the action itself? lol.... there's a reason why there's only handful of card based strategy games worth talking about. you gotta set up a deck just to have overwatch/defend even available if that's the issue

So where’s the challenge in the game if there’s no cover system and not everyone has ranged attacks? I feel like the only other way you can make the game is like ff tactics (and actual role playing games) and I dont think that works for marvel characters

For example, if im Ironman whats to stop me from just lightin up the entire arena with my multi-rocket move every turn? I’m trying to think how other way they could make a turn based tactics game with characters that have such a huge scope of powers

This is one of those games where only good reviews will change people minds. There’s really no point of debating if card base is good or not.
