seems like the gaming industry in general just needs to chill on each generation longer. Development times are long af because they always trying to push the envelope with graphics every 6 months. They work people 24/7 to make deadlines the lay everyone as some as something flops. costs to develop games are high af. i'm still impressed by the graphics of uncharted 4 today. that game first came out in 2016. And yet we've had remasters left and right.
I'd rather have 10 more games using the same engine made in 2024, then 1 game on a brand new engine
