Yeah, its just basic economics. Its not about want or need, its the reality of the situation. Nintendo and Sony have absolutely no reason to discount their hardware (sony the exact opposite) this holiday. There is incredibly high demand with must-have software.
How about you appeal to their consumers?

Xbox has sold faster than any Xbox before it, you can't talk about business and then ignore all business that isn't Sony. It's like denying Biden won the election. Knock it off
You also said Sony doesn't need to go PC, or that they won't need to do Day 1 titles. Now saying this only hurts your cause but they'll fold because the competition has hits upon hits on hits in the pipelines and their superior console is/was cheaper this holiday. Now they get starfield and call of duty in the spring.
You don't see how good of a business move all this is, so just watch what happens over the next 6 months. Sony Stan's will be in shambles guaranteed
