Microsoft has been on a hearts and minds campaign trying to shake off the negative stigma that they got in 2013, trying to be the "good guys" of gaming right now...Buying out Capcom who has a fan base across multiple platforms would seen not trying to build themselves up but MS tipping the scales and would make ALOT of gamers angry which is not what Xbox needs right now.

Capcom WAS struggling but now they are doing better and DMC5 and RE2 hitting next year they are going to be good money for a minute plus its not the same as buying Obsidian or Ninja Theory...Capcom would cost Billions to buy.

There wouldn't be any negative stigma to doing anything like that. If nikkas knew they had to buy a Xbox to play Street Fighter they'll do it if they have to.

Ain't no woe is me shyt when it comes to making money.

They've been in financial trouble for years. It was public and REALLY bad a few years ago. Sony funded SF5. MS can end their money woes forever. If Monster Hunter didn't do so good, they would probably be in the red for the year. Despite Capcom being past their prime, they have franchises to be capitalized from. Taking the financial pressure off could get them to improve also.

I really have no idea why people are dapping this nonsense. The idea that a company the size of Capcom will cut themselves off from the entire Sony market is beyond retarded. :russ:

Oh and Capcom is doing well in 2018...but I'm sure that isn't connected to Sony's success this gen. :hhh:

Microst been buying studios for like the past 10 years and these nikkas got no games.

How Sway!?

Just play the over 500+ games the currently have and the 1000+ backwards compatible till they start to cook

If one can be patient for the first 5 years of PS3, sure one can keep that same patience for the next year or 2 of Xbox

Sega, Konami, Capcom all would be huge.

However all of them are japanese companies, and the one that's most likely budge is Konami. Capcom is heavily japanese and the only way they would have sold out is if MH/Sf5/and RE2 remake would have bomb'd.

Sega is a good middle grown.

Sega makes the most sense. The original Xbox was basically the dreamcast 2 with the Sega exclusives(JGR, Shenmue, Panzer Dragoon). The only reason Capcom wouldn't make sense is the Monster Hunter IP is gold in Japan.

Its one thing saying Microsoft should buy individual studios who are struggling or have potential...Calling for whole publishers who's historically have been on a bunch of different platforms is console warrior shyt. Plus it would create a negative backlash from a lot of gamers and people in the industry.

Dude's are living in a whole other dreamland. Sega? Capcom? What possible reason would any of these companies have to sell? :gucci:

Konami would be the most logical. They've all but declared a lack of interest in making games anymore. MS would get a goat tier franchise in MGS, a sports based 'games a s a service' title in Pro Evo amongst countless other of Konami's legacy titles.
