Nope.

You wouldn't have said this if you really believed what you're claiming. You undermined your own claim. :pachaha:
What?

I believe acquisitions are natural part of business.
I don't think they all are good.
I don't actually care about 99 percent of them.

I don't understand what's so hard to get about that?

I didn't say you couldn't like it. It's just that corporate consolidation shouldn't be spun as consumer-friendly.

Makes sense for a couple of reasons...

  • Arc System Works is a small indie studio/pub that could realistically use the funding.
  • They wouldn’t have to shell out money for licenses anymore like with Dragonball
  • Sony acquired EVO and are probably looking for a dedicated fighting game studio
  • Sony owns distribution for almost all anime at this point, and has actual ownership over several, such as Full Metal Alchemist and Demon Slayer
  • Sony plans are cross-media expansion, anime fighters/rpgs, with actual anime is within Sonys wheelhouse

This is a good thing for fighting game fans, Arc System with bigger budget would be a great thing. I still really want that MHA fighter

Very anti consolidation of you. :mjlol:

The Tokyo-based electronics giant is reportedly going into the final round of negotiations to buy Crunchyroll. According to Nikkei Asia, the acquisition could cost Sony over 100 billion yen ($957 million).

This comes as Sony obtained the exclusive right to negotiate for the popular anime streaming service.

Up to now, Sony has been licensing its anime, such as the smash-hit Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, to other anime-steaming services. Adding Crunchyroll to its portfolio would put Sony in an even position to face off against Netflix and Hulu.

Crunchyroll was founded in 2006 and now has 70 million free members and 3 million subscribers. AT&T became its parent company in 2018. Earlier this year, our colleagues at Gizmodo reported that AT&T was rumored to be looking to sell Crunchyroll to Sony for, at that time, $1.5 billion.

"We might get free Crunchyroll" is all it took for this buyout to be attractive
:russ:

I’ve never once criticized microsoft for buying studios. I don’t care that they bought doublefine, inXile, Ninja Theory, Mojave….I wouldn’t care if they bought crystal dynamic, remedy, asobo…..

Major third party publishers is the part that makes them and their stans seem desperate

Doesn't sound very "anti consolidation" to me

:mjlol:
There’s no double standard, none of us complained about microsoft buying over half a dozen studios. It’s the bethesda purchase that got people riled up

Sony has never bought out a major 3rd party publisher and they probably never will.
And finally we have the truth, y'all ain't care about consolidation just like your timeline SHOWS until this.

And none of that says I support this acquisition or consolidation in general. Nice reach though :russ:

I hope your fellow Sony stans are smarter than you giving them credit for.

Clearly you didn't have a problem with consolidation happening until the you did... Which you yourself said.

"It wasn't a problem until"

Your 1 off posts here and there saying your against it. Don't support nor match your overall all actions.

Not sure who your trying to fool besides your loyal stans and yourself :mjlol:
Its truly a wonder he has stans honestly. This is why posters think sony is like the maga cult. The hypocrisy is insane.

Some posters here have spent 15+ years attempting to make fun of @PS5 Pro and @MeachTheMonster living situation/family etc

Yet they both have families, a roof over their head and jobs

But the duck the biggest bum on this this entire site. Truly mind blowing how his stans turn a blind eye to the fact hes jobless, obese and 40 years old and im guessing still lives with his parents

All things worse than “courtdogs mattress” :mindblown: dude a full blown loser

Imagine the leader of your clique being a jobless virgin dweeb, they must relate to him :manny:

Prior to covid this weirdo woulda got trolled and laughed off this forum back to resetera where he belongs

Fast forward to today and hes the head of the sony stans :dwillhuh:

You said "don't give me nothing about 20XX" because you understand that's the obvious answer.

Microsoft passed the deal with the promise that they'll support multi platform releases for 10 years, of course nothing has changed.

Consolidation has been bad historically for all industries.

Acquisitions and mergers are a natural part of business, but it's only supposed to be accepted if one or both can no longer exist on their own. Mergers between massively successful companies in the same industry doesn't make sense.
