What is the going rate for a GOOD flight stick?

I have an uncle who has always been into flying. owned a remote control helicopter, became a pilot, was into didn't Sims back in the 80s.

I wanna surprise him with this, and the ultimate setup. As a matter of convenience I'm leaning towards a series to go along with the flight sticks, might have to get him a 4ktv? Or will the series s be sufficient? Series S and a quality flight stick should run me close to stack? Any assistance would be appreciated, I'm more hyped for him than I am to play it and I really wanna play it.

Pulled the trigger and started the install on my PC. Figure I'll start dialing in settings before these pedals get in, hit the ground running.

@PS5 does he have a computer? Something good enough to game with? If so go that route, if not get him a Series X and maybe a Thrustmaster HOTAS. From what you described though, he'll want yoke, throttle, pedals, all of it.

Apparently it's kind of tough to control on the Series X controller because there is a virtual mouse that is controlled with the joystick.

Thinking of just hooking up a keyboard and mouse for the game :ehh:

There are assists to make it easier though like unlimited fuel, etc., so it can be dumbed down a bit.
im starting to get the hang of it , but i can see how this game is mostly for those who are into flight/planes.
i was doing a flight from JFK to Santo Domingo , and it was nothing but sky and ocean. Got a boring after a while.

Flights inside country must be more fun since you get to see stuff along the way.

Someone on resetera said you can dumb it down so much it controls like grand theft auto

Imma definitely do that the first time just to go around the world the first time
