No, you brought up how long a series might have left. R&C dropped this year got praise and its like 24 years old with far less gameplay changes than wow and no where as near as revolutionary to its genre.
So if R&C doesn't concern you Wow for sure shouldn't.
What's making them money wasn't even brought up, funny enough that tweet mentions the warcraft series and not world of warcraft specifically. Like I said warcraft is a Pillar, World of warcraft is a cash cow, people still love it and it allows them to continue to tell the warcraft lore.

R&C isn’t a concern because it is no where near as important to SIE as WoW is to Blizzard. My questioning lies in what Blizzard intend to do with the IP after 20 years. As I’m sure they want to keep that ‘cash cow’ moo’ing. We are talking about one specific game, not 20 different ones

There is no cash cow behind ratchet and clank, its now a passion project inbetween marvel games for insomniac. There is no relation here

Wow keeps on going like every other popular mmo with a diehard community.
it's really no reason to touch or mess with it until they want to do something else with Warcraft lore or drop a Wow 2

Is MS trying to pull an Elon Musk and drive down Activisions valuation to get it at a cheaper price? :jbhmm:

They lying their ass off :russ: . They don't make any must have games. They make basic bytch ass CoD which everyone flocks to. They have Overwatch. WoW is still in play. How much money is Candy Crush making? Be real about what your play is. It's to own the content to take advantage for themselves solely, or license out in profitable deals.

And this right there is my problem with microsoft they will buy a whole ass publisher just to milk one game. They won't utilize alot of IP's and basically bought Activision for call of duty. They will minimally utilize the rest of the ip's.

Microsoft won't touch Activision/Blizzard at all. They aren't involved in any of its own internal studios. Bethesda still act independent of xbox, they don't even receive the same benefits as Microsoft employees.
