Its been entertaining watching sony and microsoft downplay and overstate how big this acquisition is
I mean they don't make any must have games. They mostly just mismanage their IPs and churn out the same games ad nauseam.

In a sense they’re right activision doesn’t have “must have” games but they do have one game that always top the sales chart. Outside of COD, WOW, and Overwatch their library is trash.

I do wonder how much longer WoW has left. Its almost old enough to drink.

Is ratchet and clank one of the three pillars of SIE publishing?
:mjtf:Wow isn't a Pillar of blizzard, it could die tomorrow and the company would be a ok. Warcraft, diablo and starcraft to a lesser extent is different however.

Yeah, games that haven’t had proper entries in well over a decade are more important to blizzard than WoW is. :mjlol:

Wow is built on the warcraft foundation.
Wow can die tomorrow and warcraft 4 could drop and they are just fine.
Wow is a pillar in mmo world, but its not a pillar for blizzard. It's just a cash cow and a way to tell the story that people love.
Diablo 3 dropped a decade ago, people are feening for part 4 and playing the mobile like its crack.:mjlol:

Starcraft 2 was a big success as far as RTS goes, and if they ever choose to do anything remotely decent with the IP it's almost guaranteed to make money.

A bunch of if’s, what’s, buts…im talking about what they are currently selling, the only Warcraft property making them money is WoW atm

Equating WoW to Ratchet and Clank was a reach, its ok to just admit it

No, you brought up how long a series might have left. R&C dropped this year got praise and its like 24 years old with far less gameplay changes than wow and no where as near as revolutionary to its genre.
So if R&C doesn't concern you Wow for sure shouldn't.
What's making them money wasn't even brought up, funny enough that tweet mentions the warcraft series and not world of warcraft specifically. Like I said warcraft is a Pillar, World of warcraft is a cash cow, people still love it and it allows them to continue to tell the warcraft lore.
