This is goods news it's something Microsoft should of implemented a long time ago. It's something they had experience in when acquiring WebTv years back. I guess MS coming to their senses and trying to make the next generation XBOX a total entertainment machine which is a smart move by them.
They didn't do it from jump because they didn't want to confuse the consumers with a bunch of features that wasn't what they was trying to get out there. They knew in time XBL would evolve into what it is, but first they had to establish the "video game system" first. Once that was out there and established, then they added to the overall experience. What you see happening with the xbox360... once its time for the next xbox?
It'll have all those features, working better than ever, and new features on top of that. They always said they "wanted" the xbox to become the only device you'd need in your living room. They've said this since before the xbox 360 was released.
