Why would anyone be upset over this

Foley was great but dude really hurt his legacy these past few years to the point where he comes out to crickets now. That's on him and it's also on the E for seeing a retarded rich guy and a female wrestler as people that are bigger than him.

QUEENS NY
This thread just goes to show you what unappreciative a$$holes wrestling fans truly are. No respect for a guy who broke his body for our entertainment, and gave us countless memories and moments as wrestling fans. But because hes older, heavier, and cornier (all comes with aging, and lord knows what kind of brain damage hes working with), they wanna justify shtting on him.

How soon they forget....They do the same thing to Mysterio, Sabu, etc. Now that they are used up and cant fly off cages anymore, people wanna throw 'em in the bushes. My man Foley cant even get a night to honor his legendary career; a career where a million people told him he'd never make it, and he ended up as one of the biggest stars in the best era in wrestling history. And they bump him for that racist shtbag, Trump? And wrestling fans are cool with it?

Dapped, I got the utmost respect for Foley and the fact he gave his body up for the industry and to entertain the fans. Yeah he has been wack the past several years but that doesn't tarnish what he was. A few years from now people will forget the the last few years and remember the good and what he gave up for the industry.

And you know whats funny, his work with Edge and Flair in 2004 or 2005, can't remember the exact year was some of his best work. It's sad, as flabby and sick as Foley looked during that run, his matches had better flow and pacing than the Rocks current run. The Rock wrestles like Foley looks.

I agree with you where a lot of fans are real dikkheads about the guy. They shyt on him all the time and clown him like the cool kids at school clowning a fat kid or something.

I just don't get it, I do understand him not being showcased on TV though. Bruno is the centerpiece, Trish is the GOAT womens WWE wrestler ever and Trump will be there push to get the casual viewer.

He comes out to crickets now because most current fans werent even born when foley was in his prime.

Besides, what has he done thats so bad in post-retirement that warrants his career getting sht on like that, and more importantly fans cheering it on? Foley had a great program with Randy Orton that elevated him. He had a great program with Edge...then a great program with Edge where he turned on ECW. Great program with Flair. Hes done some cool things in his advancing years.

Im sure he was awful in TNA (I never watched a second of it), but look at the material he probably had to work with while there. If anyone deserves a few easy paychecks, and the benefit of the doubt when it comes to being corny in his post-retirement years, its foley. Do you know the hell that man put his body thru for over a decade? Let him live.

Sorry breh the fact that he got bumped is one of those so bad it's funny things. Foley literally broke himself for Vince and still can't get a main spot over Trish and Donald. Those big spots mean nothing but highlights and replays from the past. Foley is one of the best brawlers and on the mic but spot wrestling obviously will never get you anywhere in the E or outside of small areas. Foley has as much talent as anyone but he doesn't draw anything anymore and the TV show is all about ratings. He still gets to go out in MSG and front of his fanbase and all that though. Think about that and you won't be so upset.

This class is the best i`ve ever seen.

Can't shyt on Foley for not getting on TV.

-Trump: Biggest Wrestling celebrity ever
-Backlund: A wrestling legend, carried the company for a long stretch before Hogan
-Bruno: The GOAT of the pre-modern era wrestlers
-Trish: Female GOAT
-Booker: Another legend. Most accomplished black wrestler of all time

Yeah, its tough, given this class, Trump is seen as a real celeb draw even if I hate the idea of him moving an all time great in our "sport" out of his deserved tv spot, I can see why they're doing it given Vince's obsession with mainstream coverage.

do I like the idea of them missing out on a chance to have one of their all time greatest talkers do what he does. Hell no.

Mick getting to talk road stories, self efacing comedy, poke fun at Al Snow for no apparent reason, just walk us through his career is something I would actually be quite interested in watching on tv, you can't point me to a top 10 list of talkers without him in it.

Having explosive outrages and shyt at a company with a LONG history of oversights and legacies being shyt all over much worse than this isn't even worth it.

Where are Randy Savage and Rick Rude? Why'd the Horsemen have to be second fiddle to Edge instead of headlining their own class? I'd rather they move Trish, who was never a "great" talker and highlight Foley who will give a show on that mic.

All they did was ensure i'll be buying the Blu Ray to see what i'm sure will be a damn good speech with this move.

Damn that's fukked up honestly i'd bump Backlund off TV in place of Foley. :yeshrug:

Trump is the one who doesn't belong but they ain't wasting a HOF on a cat like Trump without showing it. This HOF is stacked they should've saved Book for next year.

I like Booker but no way in hell you're telling me that he means more to the WWE over the years than Foley.

Foley was one of the cornerstone guys during their most popular era ever. He was loyal to WWE throughout the whole Monday Night Wars and was part of many of the most memorable and highest rated segments (this is your life).

He wasn't Rock/Austin but he was every bit as meaningful as a guy like 'Taker during the attitude era. Whatever he's done in the past few years with TNA shouldn't overshadow that.

Hell, Flair is still way more known for stuff outside of the WWE and look at the sendoff and treatment they give him.

Foley deserves WAY better. I rarely get legit mad at the WWE fukkery of today but this has my jimmies way fukking rustled.

Bum status. From NY and it's in NY and he ain't worth shyt. Cripple H surely respects the guy who put his ass over in the main event. Another botch job from both those idiots.

And Mike Tyson is the biggest wrestling celebrity ever..not Donald Trump. He's part of how Austin got FOREVER over after Rumble 98 with that confrontation. It made news every fukking where. And crowd reactions stayed epic and world breaking in the aftermath.

The TSC of 2013 is saying the Rock isn't Black and is backing a guy who got called out for supporting women beaters idols and ducked his tale and ran from that commentary. Kids wanna be different. Too bad it's at the cost of sense and quality.

So this is what it is all about

You must really love Cripple H? That's like the third or 4th time you've quoted me and he's been the center of your Drake smilies and weird off center responses. You watched pro wrestling to see Cripple H bring it down to mediocrity in 2003 and 2004? Allowed stiffs like Batista and Cena to keep shyt down in the muck and grime that used to be glory and respect in the business? LOL. What a grand sight it is to see the danglers respect the average and ordinary as if they are the Rick Rudes, Perfects, Stings, and Austins of a time.
