It seems you do not understand what the bill is actually doing. Its pretty simple. Its put in place to undermine the union, attempting a basic divide and conquer tactic, in hopes in destroying the union all together.

Basically they want to create infighting within the union based on paying dues, the goal is to overtime, bankrupt the unions and elminate their ability to generate revenue. Money that is needed to fight the corporations advances of eliminating benefits and lowering wages. Obviously, everything in this world takes money. So to keep lawyers and lawmakers moving, you need money. To stage events and rallies and protect your union memebers, you need money.

The goal of the law is to break the union by slowly starving them of cash until they collapse unto themselves.

The labor unions are the last bastions of regular people making a living wage by building and creating physical goods,. Once they are destroyed, no one stands between low wages/ no benefits. We can all work for pennies and then pay those pennies back to the company for insurance.

Why should Unions be given special treatment vs other political organizations tho?

What other political organization can just take money directly from your paycheck whether you want them to or not?

What other organization can make you a member over it and claim to represent you in negotiations whether you want them to or not?

I was under the impression Right To Work brings unions in line with other political organizations. If unions fail when placed on a level playing field with everyone else, is their time is done?

Its not a political organization first off so  Sure its involved in politics but so is everything in the business world . Its main function is to neogotiate for better wages. Benes and work conditions with the employer.

Since its clear your very anti union and anti working class. Why do you care if the union collects dues. If you don't support unions why would you want a job at a union facility.?

Let me guess..... cuz they pay is good and the benefits are as well. So you want everything the union has fought for. Ppl have been maimed and killed for these rights. You want all this that the union offers but you don't want to pay for it? But you want the job tho right .

Your lack of understandings makes it easy to see why the middle class keeps losing.

Well, without giving too much about what I do, how do you feel about Unions applying pressure to small businesses?

I don't feel its right that Unions can FORCE people to pay dues who do not want to be part of the union, which they do now.

I understand that ALL Unions are not the same, but many of the standards they hold to ARE detremental to some businesses. Look at the Hostess situation. The Baker's Union was forcing their hand on that and they rather close down business (or move elsewhere) than continue working under those conditions. I'm not trying to be all "poor poor businesses" but the economic situation is hitting everyone, including businesses. And if they cannot stay profitable they will be forced to shut down.

To me, "Right To Work" seems like a respectable middle ground.... Please explain to me why I'm wrong here?

I've explained in all my posts why its wrong. You just keep asking different questions and not answering mine.

If you don't want to pay union dues. Then don't apply for jobs at union shop. There's plenty of shyt factories you can work in for 12bucks an hr.

But that's not what u want is it son? You want to enjoy the pay and the benefits our father's , grandfathers and uncles went to jail for. Were hurt and killed for but....you want it for free.
Nothings free in this world. Everything comes at a price.

Also them hostess unions have been taking a lump after lump. How many pay cuts and benefit reductions can take before you say enough is enough.

Great points! I find it incredible that in America CEO's have been :cook: so good that these Republicans decide to attack Unions who have been trying to negotiate for better wages. The CEO of Wal-Mart is a good example. This guy pays his "Associates" crap wages barely above the minimum wage. Walmart CEO Mike Duke: 'We Do Pay Competitive Wages'

But somehow all the fault of business today falls on the union dues? The governor of Michigan is a snake. With the rest of those Republicans they have screwed over the workers in Michigan to a level that will probably be never matched. Just wait for all those low wage jobs to start flooding the state. The unions were the only thing that was stopping Michigan from turning into Mississippi. The way it shakes down is that Right to Work is great for employers. Absolutely great because it makes it hard for unions to get funding or even legitimacy. It basically turns them into paper tigers. The employers have all the power. Go ahead and strike because you don't like the working conditions, you will be fired. But the Michigan people deserve this shyt because they voted that a$$hole in office. You get what you vote for. I'm from Michigan and I don't shed a single tear for the people who voted for that prick and now are going to watch their wages drop. :ehh:

It's no where to being a middle ground. It is basically a employer has all the power bill. If you want a good example of "Right to work" all you have to do is look at South American countries and China. Those are "Right to Work" countries. Unions still exist somewhat but they are treated like a suggestion box at best. They have no real power.

People are so easily duped. :smh: even with union corruption in the past, I'm flabbergasted by the myopic views of most wage earning Americans.

It's just sad that people want to be serfs.

And that is exactly what they are going to get. I'm astonished by the collective ignorance of the masses. Now they are upset that Synder is pulling this shyt. THEY VOTED HIS ASS IN OFFICE!!! What did they expect? Did they expect him to be pro-union?!?! Now they are screwed and don't even know how bad its going to get. Dummies.

Truth friend. Also germany has a STRONG sense of national pride. They consider products not made in germany "junk" and will go out of their way to buy german made.

:shaq2: You would think the coil has Nissan as a sponsor they way these clowns talk about nissan. They actually got these kids thinking nissan is a luxury brand :mindblown: How many times a day on here do i see "my dude is rich, he drive a nissan altima , and gets mad bytches"
Nissan altimas are like 30k for the best model.

Germans see non german goods and go :usure::childplease:

Does any one remember why USA was dominating for so long? Because WE made the shyt OTHER countries bought.

Now the chinese who are pretty much a step above slave labor, and other asia countries make all our goods. Then we BUY them . They are always of poor quality.\

Our dads and grandpas built this country on back breaking labor. Blood. sweat and tears.
Tell these kids about working a fair day and they turn up their nose.
"Naw b, I do dont physical labor"

The same dudes who cant change a tire or find a tool in the tool box. I ask these dudes my age to hand me a pair of channel locks and I just get the :merchant:. Might as well be speaking French.

:wow: :damn: :wow: Excuse me, bruhs...just...

I'm gonna go and change my tires now. *Grabs a shovel, duct tape, and some pliers*

:lawd: Unions helped make jobs in America so cushy in the first place. Without them we'd still be looking at some ole 1920's coal miner shyt where people can die and blow up and lose their jobs with virtually no compensation to the familes. :mindblown:

Its been crazy to watch Grand Rapids completely shyt all over Detroit. That's the real battle know no one has talked about yet. The west side of Michigan is completely flexing on Metro Detroit and there is actually a major racial component to it. Grand Rapids is taking a big shyt on Detroit right now in terms of socio economics and political clout.
