The ex carrys a firearm to his girlfriends house to drop off gifts, which he obviously knows she got a new dude.

There is no justification for him to ccw to drop off gifts to his kids.

My theory is-They got into a argument at the front door, ex brandishes the firearm, in a panic the bf bolts passed dude, ex chases him down, bf stumbles to the ground, ex shoots him in the back.

Dude shot him in the back after he fell. Nothing to really justify that.

I was just responding to a post implying the shooter went there looking for trouble.

If dude was outside the house and running back toward the house he was probably with the shyts too, until the pistol got pulled.

I’m not making any assumptions outside what was reported. I know people carry guns everywhere and doesn’t matter if it’s a sime drop off. There was a confrontation outside and the ex was wrong to shoot a man in his back. He will do time but I won’t assume what created that situation. It may have zero to do with the woman or jealousy.

No offense, but this is a normal occurrence in healthy families that have divorces, separations and break-ups.

The article doesn't state or imply that at all.

Baby daddy clearly has a screw loose. But the stepfather dropping off the gifts to the children without the mother present knowing that the biological father is there is a wild scenario within itself.

Re-read the article, the child's father was the one who came by to drop off the kids.
