I actually think it is the opposite. Look at corporate america and how men keep power. This is done specifically through the networks and good ole boyism.

Look at hollywood and the scandals we have just seen. It was done by power, networking and intimidation (taking away career advances and money). These dudes weren't doing this shyt by coddling.

But hey I know she got to pander to her audience. Cause on the real society does not coddle dudes in general. shyt look at all the men bytching about child support and divorces. Judge will hit a man with the "I don't care if you got to live in your car. You paying that child support and or spouse support". Society will hit a poor man up with a :yeshrug: too bad you can't take care of yourself we ain't got no safety nets for your ass.

I have always said if anything women need to be more agreesive and study how men move when it comes to money, career and power.

Oh did she say something? I was too busy looking at them legs:takedat:. On a serious note the issue here is mwn and women have two different deffinitions of taking care of people. As men we typically are the bread winners and through providing financially we consider that taking care of the fam and our women. Michelle talkimg about shyt like washing your clothes, cooking, cleaning and shyt. My mama didnt really teach me to do that shyt because thats a womans job. Thats what Michelle talking about. Cant say I agree. If a bytch cant support us financially she can at leat give me p*ssy, cook and clean. Is that too much to ask fellas?

Before we black men grow into "coddled" adults, as boys, we are apparently unworthy of literacy
instruction at a level that black girls, white girls, Hispanic girls and Asian-American girls receive.

Nothing like privileged illiteracy, Mrs. Obama.

Data Exclusive: 75 Percent of Black California Boys Don’t Meet State Reading Standards
By Matt Levin | May 31, 2017 | DATA POINTS, EDUCATION

"...What explains the poor scores? And why doesn’t the state provide more detailed data?

Certainly scores aren’t the only educational area in which black boys trail their peers. African-American boys are more likely to be suspended and drop out of school than other demographic groups, in California and elsewhere.

But the reading data is sobering. As early as fourth grade, for example, nearly 80 percent of black boys failed to meet state reading standards. Of all ethnic groups for which the state collects data, black boys trailed black girls by the widest margin."

look at the numbers of black men dying in the streets or men in general dying in wars or getting seriously injured at dangerous jobs. Look at nothing being said about all of these female teachers sexing the underaged in school. Women are outnumbering men at universities. Nothing said about that. In regards to the rape issue, lots of women are coming out, but then again when men come out, they get laughed at because another man took their manhood. Africa Bambaata allegedly molested thousands of children, and mostly boys, but nothing is being done about him. He's quietly flying under the radar.

If she wants to say male and females have their own unique challenges, sure, I can agree with that, but to put forward this notion that men are being coddled in society is laughable.

Based on what she said, I just assumed she was talking about white men.

My guess is that's why she was so vague. After all, given the current social climate, I don't think she would have caught too much flak for specifically saying "black men" if that's who she was referring to, but I could be wrong.

maybe if women stopped having children out of wedlock, they could have a father in the house to properly raise their boys. We've seen it....

its tough for a parent to raise a kid by themselves, especially one of the opposite gender.

Out of wedlock birth rates has exploded for all races since the 70s and its funny how nobody tells people (both genders...) to make better choice.
Unless you think the majority of men are tricking women to having babies and leaving, you have to acknowledge women pick the worst men to have babies w/...

I'm starting to get this perspective more and more. Just as we see white folks as being coddled by society, we have to realize that we too as men have a similar advantage ( but not even close in terms of scale to what white folks have).

We have to realize this and not get defensive when attention is brought to it because that is exactly what white people do :wow:
"black men are the white people of black people" :skip:

here we go with this oppresion olympics bullshyt that has no basis in fact
