I agree with her comments....it's just basic "do good" stuff.
I have an issue with the fact that the Obama's seem to now ONLY ever have this message...and the fact that it's clearly politically motivated, not towards blacks, but towards whites. How many times has Obama been given a speaking engagement on Fathers Day, and instead of upping bruthas that do take care of their families, decided to use it as another opportunity to shyt on black men and to push the "dead beat dad" narrative.
When is Obama going to give a speech to whites, telling them to raise their kids not to be a bunch of fukking meth-heads and bigots?
They are solidifying black stereotypes the same way that Reagan's "Welfare Queens" comment did. Only difference is that niccas won't call them out on it.
There are real issues within the black community that they could be highlighting, but when it's fukking "stop whining, stop complaining" , or "stop playing videogames" (LMFAO)...that's a joke.
Actually, I'd even go as far as to say that young black kids aren't really hurt at all by an over-abundance of media consumption (Outside of representational issues). I remember growing up, my parents (rightfully) thought that Nintendo was necessary to keep me out of trouble, and buying games and movies and stuff was always seen as a way to keep black kids away from peers and the law. Do kids in general watch too much tv/play too much games? Maybe. But I certainly don't see that as an issue particular to blacks, and I think that the alternative for many of us is far worst. You want your kid fukking around with Minecraft, or do you want him on the block?
