Throw punches? I'm just amazed at the balls of a scumbag beinf so openly racist. I've never taken any real time to hear her beyond this week. With racial tensions in this country at an all time high, I don't see how anything Max or Wiley could be even heard in light of her madness. There was a line crossed by her that was EVERYTHING wrong about that segment.

I don't know how one takes the time to even process what's being said by anyone else after she spewed that filth. I wish I had that luxury.

Don't know what to tell you about the last part, I'm a journalist? It's my job to watch an entire video, survey an entire scene? It's less luxury and more training.

As far as the rest, I think I'm in the same boat as you -- Beadle has always been SUPER on the periphery to me. I haven't watched her shows or read her interviews... I've never really taken the time to explore anything she's done or said. Because... well, you already know.

This shyt was SO blatant, that it makes me feel like she SLIPPED UP HUGE and kinda exposed herself. Her tirades against floyd never seemd to cross into this ground, unless I'm mistaken, because they only got the cursory glance from me?

I'm much more familiar with the stuff Nichols has said, maybe I need to go back and check out Beadle's work... buuuuuut - now that i've seen this, I'm not terribly inclined to go sample her work.

The truth is that women generally don't develop interests in hobbies, skill sets, ideas in the same way men do. Men, when they become interested in music, sports, or hell even video games usually also develop a desire to MASTER it in some way - whether directly or indirectly. Mastering used in this context doesn't mean necessarily mean directly performing the activity they are interested in. For example, a guy who is really into sports but isn't athletic himself might instead just work on "mastering" sports in an indirect way such as memorizing statistics and plays. A guy who doesn't have musical talent himself and is incapable of directly mastering music by creating music, might instead do something like memorizing the discography of his favorite band and learning about the trivia surrounding the recording of his favorite songs.

Women on the other hand, when they get involved in the scene that surrounds a particular band, a sports team, or whatever don't care about the actual band or team or whatever. What matters to them instead is the SOCIAL elements of the scene. A good example of this is sports, particularly with college football/soccer/baseball, etc. Any time I see females in a crowd at some college football/sports stadium I already know half of the girls in the crowd have no idea what's going on the in the game outside of the fact that the ball being closer to the other team's goal = good. For them, the enjoyment doesn't come from the game itself but from feeling like they are part of something and that they are bonding with other people. The fun for them is everyone wearing the same colors and cheering in unison with other people. A guy might watch a game by himself on a couch while drinking a beer if for some reason he can't go out with buddies to watch it. Can you imagine a girl doing the same? When a girl bangs the alpha male of a particular scene whether it be the quarterback of a football team or some local popular hipster guitar player she doesn't care about his actual accomplishments or skills. What actually turns her on is the man's status in the scene and how he is respected and exalted by other men.

Good 'ol Arthur Schopenhauer actually talks about this in his infamous "On Women" essay:

"This makes them incapable of taking a purely objective interest in anything, and the reason for it is, I fancy, as follows. A man strives to get direct mastery over things either by understanding them or by compulsion. But a woman is always and everywhere driven to indirect mastery, namely through a man; all her direct mastery being limited to him alone. Therefore it lies in woman’s nature to look upon everything only as a means for winning man, and her interest in anything else is always a simulated one, a mere roundabout way to gain her ends, consisting of coquetry and pretence."

Max was defending the business side of the argument. It's bad for business to have Hardy behaving the way that he was, which it is. Hardy, like most nikkaz should be aware of how the world sees them, especially when you have strikes against you in the public's perception.

ESPN has been pandering to women for a decade or so. Skip and co. been at it for decades breh. You look at how illogical some of these old heads are when it comes to celebrations or how much money guys are getting or PEDs and I don't know how you can act as if emotion is limited to females or female pandering or males are purely logical when it comes to sports. Just look on here, you got a mostly male board blatantly ignoring or dismissing facts, getting in their feelings when facts go against them, making up their own facts, wishing injury on nikkas, making fun of tragedy, manufacturing reasons to hate on people all because they like or don't like a certain player.

He was much more coming to it from the business perspective and trying to bridge Marcellus and Michelle's arguments. That's different than Beadle's character assassination and emotional arguments

I do kind of see your point of how sports in general is becoming more emotional than it was in the past. I think a lot of dudes are encouraged to be more emotional these days as a byproduct of pandering though. I mean, Roy Firestone and dikk Schaap and John Saunders weren't this way back when I grew up watching ESPN. This is a change.

Maybe it's not a product of the women. Maybe you're right. It might just be us becoming a more bytch assed society as a whole.

I think Walt Disney buying ESPN has led them in this direction as well.
