So wrong. More like the opposite. MJ would average 50 and LJ would get beat up and break down before this long ass career. He'd be even more shook to engage, would be mentally victimized by the likes of Rodman.
we gotta stop doing this:russ: You can't cherry-pick what works for Jordan and place him in this era, the aggressive defense of that time could be brutal for sure, but it was also unintelligent and less efficient. The game has progressed breh it's inevitable, the top 50-25 in the nba today would dominate any combination of 80's-90's teams.

if you are a student and fan of basketball, it's hard to call LeBron the goat.
There are 3 players I would consider better than LeBron: Bill, Kareem, and MJ. On and off the court.
Bill went to the finals 12 times and lost once. Lebron went 10 times and lost 6.
Jordan went to the finals 6 times and never lost. Lebron went 10 times and lost 6.
Kareem went 10 times and lost 4 times. Lebron went 10 times and lost 6.
I cannot put Lebron above guys from different eras who won when it matters with winning records. How can you call a guy who's lost more championships than he's won the Greatest Of All Time? You can't.
LeBron is a great statistical anomaly. But what matters the most at the end of your career is what you've won. He has not won enough to be better than his predecessors. Not only that, he didn't win on one team. Everyone I mentioned before stayed on one team and in some cases willed their teams to victory...multiple times. I'm betting kids that are 12 now will call Curry the GOAT in 10 years. He'll probably have won another chip, putting him right next to Kobe, Tim, and above Shaq. He'll have a better ranking, all time, than Lebron in 10 years.

You can't compare rings and accolades when deciding who is a better player, especially when some had easier paths to the finals and the game was simpler in the past.

I am glad I stepped away from this debate last year.
Honestly if you was born after 1990(Old enough to be aware by the time MJ retired)I don't even debate with you any more.
Just like I wouldn't argue with anyone older than me saying Kareem the GOAT.
They watched Kareem and MJ just like I watched MJ and Bron.
Jordan is the GOAT and nothing LeBron will do going forward will change my mind.
Even as much as I wanna make a case for Bron that finals against the Mavs really hurts his case.
Oh before someone say I am hating.
He is a great father.
A great leader.
And a great influence to the black community.
I know how some of yall get about Bron like he the only player in NBA history above criticism.:lolbron:

forget Rodman, dude is scared to play Kawhi in THIS era of soft basketball. He was shook everytime dude checked in during the Spurs - Heat series.

claim to be a student of the game and post the most rudimentary analysis brehs. No mention of the strength of the league when these players played, the role expansion played in the quality of the league, caliber of opponents, quality of supporting casts, etc.. Nope. I guess it also doesn't matter that Lebron lost less in the earlier in the rounds of the playoffs than Kareem and Jordan. in the minds of casuals he would have more of a GOAT claim if he lost in the first round multiple times like Jordan instead of losing in the finals to the KD Warriors :skip:

it doesnt matter that lebron lost less in the plahyoffs. it matters that he lost more in the finals, where it counts. there's no reason for a geriatric dirk nowitzki. we can't celebrate lebron and deride KD. KD literally got the blueprint from lebron. he knew people wouldnt respect him till he got a ring, so he left and got one. just like lebron. it doesnt matter that he went to the dubs. just like it didnt matter that lebron went to team up with d-wade and bosh to win. we knew why he did it.

history doesnt remember the road, it remembers the destination and results. the results speak for themselves, 12-1, 6-0, 6-4 > 4-6. if you want to expand on anything else, great. but there's finality to those numbers. they mean a lot IN CONJUCTION with the statistical records.

I tell you what, I firmly believe LeBron would have been a better player if he was in Jordan's era. The way the game was called (allowing a little more physicality), the slowness to it, that's more LeBron's style. The flopping in the league during LeBron's time has been comical.

On another note, all the Kobe stans gonna be upset, but if LeBron played with Shaq, they would have had much more success, probably never split, and just dominated.

Doubt it. Shaq was butthurt about Kobe taking over, so why would he be any different with LeBron.

Now, Kobe with Duncan would have been magical :ahh: That's legit a 7-8 championship duo.

This makes no sense. You have to be a child to think it's better to lose in the 1st or second round than it is to lose in the finals. More than half of Lebron's finals come from teams that had no business making it to the finals while Kareem has won championships where he wasn't even the best player on his team. Counting championships without respect for context is some pea brain shyt.

According to your logic, Bill Russell is the GOAT and there's no discussion to be had.

Stop comparing goats from different eras. Jordan was the best at his time and LeBron is the best now, Jordan wouldn't be the best today and LeBron would be all-time great back then because of how the sport has progressed, it makes no sense to compare them. shyt the fact that it's even an argument proves MJ isn't the goat.

Smells like bytch in here

I literally posted bill russell as 1 of the 3 players i'd put before lebron. have a discussion if you want. but not with me. no argument you make can make me put lebron above those 3 players. he's top 5 but he's not top 3 all time. simple as.:unimpressed:
