And you think Matt Ryan needs to win three rings in order to be a legend in ATL? :gucci:

Exactly:russ:

And people always making fun of the atlanta sports scene :mjpls:

Matty Ice might do something that vick never did.

Now if vick had won a SB for the Falcons in the past, then yes Matty ice might need 3 SB rings:ehh:

Haven't read the letter yet, but:salute: to Mike Vick

I'm glad I got to be in Atlanta to witness his reign over the city, it was like none other. A great time to be in the city. Vick being the most exciting entity in sports, an NBA all star game, BMF, black music capital, only needed a fresh white T to tee to go out to the club, the mall, the promenade, whatever :banderas:

:wow:

Gonna read soon

Mike Vick was like Allen Iverson, both of them have their own styles, both of them changed the game to the sports. Vick was meant to Atlanta Falcons just like Iverson was meant to Philadelphia 76ers. Both of them were heroes to black community.

:mjcry: and :salute:

Breh I'm a huge fan of Hank Aaron the athlete, the business man and the man. He's GOAT in multiple categories. He had the GOAT moment in ATL sports history (hitting HR #715) and is the GOAT Brave. But Hank didn't play his entire career in Atlanta or even finish his career in Atlanta. If Matt wins on Sunday he can make a case as GOAT Atlanta athlete based on his overall body of work and delivering a title to the city
Yeah I figured you'd say that. It's not his fault the Braves were in Milwaukee first but I see where you're coming from

I'm not blaming him for playing in Milwaukee because he's still an GOAT Atlanta icon but from an Atlanta sports perspective Matt has a chance to seperate himself from everybody in the city's history

Billechick is the GOAT coach... trust me... he's gonna shut down that offense... 2 weeks is more than enough time for him to come up with a game plan...

its cool knowing that he realizes how big he was on Madden. That caused a lot of fights but a lot of good memories for millions of people.

:mjcry: the good ole days of ATL before the colored dreads and homoerotic wardrobes

We used to have this running joke, back when the team really had it going, that, you know: “The Dome is better than the club.” Wasn’t no need to go to the club to meet a lot of people, we figured, when you could just come to the game. I mean, I’d look around before kickoff and I’d see T.I., Usher, Ludacris, David Banner, Bow Wow, Jason Terry. Even politicians — Jimmy Carter would show up every now and then. (Very nice guy. Very humble.) If it was a Falcons home game, man, everyone was there.

And what made that cool was — it wasn’t just a football moment, or a sports moment. It was a full-on cultural moment. It was Atlanta sports, and Atlanta music, and Atlanta movies. And they were all just sort of coexisting, and feeding off of each other, and making each other want to be great, in this really special way.

Maybe the coolest thing about that time was how spontaneous it all felt, and how naturally some of those connections happened. Like, one day, out of the blue, I was approached by T.I’s people about doing a video for “Rubber Band Man,” his new single. Now … me being a very reserved person, I wasn’t really dying to do the actual video aspect of it. But at the same time, it felt like, O.K. — I’m on the come-up in Atlanta in my lane, and he’s on the come-up in Atlanta in his lane, and this is what this exact moment is all about. You show up for your city, and you build these relationships. You share in this culture together.

You try looking smooth next to Usher.

So I showed up for the video shoot, and, listen: You wouldn’t believe all these celebrities there. You had Usher there, you had Jagged Edge there. I think 8Ball and MJG was there. Man, Diddy was in the video. And of course T.I. himself. At first I was a little nervous — you know, being on this set with all of these famous dudes, all of these musical pioneers who I was a fan of like everyone else. But everyone was very friendly, and I ended up just having a lot of fun. - Michael Vick

I'll be "that guy" but Vick could have been a hall of fame if he didn't let his ego and Madden fans convince him he could do it all with raw talent and no prep. I remember him saying some shyt one about not needing to study film because defenses always tried new tricks with him. :scust:

When he got out of prison, I thought he woke up and was on a Hall of Fame track again. Balled out for 1/2 a season looking like a cross between Marino and Barry Sanders, then back to the old ways. He had that :trash: game coming in for the Jets where he admitted he wasn't prepared to step in :scust: Brehs were still :cape: for him even when he got to Pittsburgh and couldn't even hold on to the #3 spot on the roster.

Lots of flashy highlights and wasted potential. Some great highlights and great memories, but he's only touching GOAT status inside a Xbox
