I remember Mike Vick passing for over 3000 and running for over 1000 with nearly 20 passing TDs and they were talking about how Vick may lose his job
When was this? Nobody in Atlanta was saying anything remotely like that.
Still think Mike was done dirty. And I'm tlalking about how coaches developed him. I get that he wasn't the most dedicated player but teams stay trying to push a square peg into a round hole instead of adapting.
It's hard to develop someone who doesn't study the playbook. He admitted to throwing his playroom in the trunk and leaving it there, admitted to not working on his game in the off-season, and admitted to not taking football seriously. As much as we love Vick at a certain point you have to admit he relied on his athleticism damn near exclusively while in Atlanta. . The first season we heard of Vick dedicating himself to football was the off-season right before he was sent to jail. Maybe it was the truth or maybe he saw the writing on the wall and was looking for more protection, we will never know.
