Breh did you take a look at the story? :russ: the higher ups at first would not allow him to play songs like Whodini "Friends" . I guess they thought it was too hard :dead:

I actually recall look at that Complex piece when it first came out but I forgot what Common says exactly. I'm gonna take a look back at it.

THANK YOU!!

Was waiting for someone to mention this. People acting like all black people must listen to rap, and R&B doesn't exist :heh:.
In one of those documentaries he is clearly shown bumping Mary J Blige in his Red Ferrari.

NOBODY is saying that. Post where ANYBODY said that. I cam in here and stated that I find it funny that someone who's basketball career and clothing played such a big part in HIP HOP history, doesn't like the music. Go back and reread and relax. Nobody said all black people should listen to rap music.

He's from the south bruh & grew up in the 70's & 80's that's why.
:comeon:Do you know how many nikkas from the south that grew up in the 70s and 80s that loved hip hop, its because he's from a predominately white, hick, yokel town in North Carolina, most of the black people from his home town are good ole boys and sound like country white men, fishin and huntin and shyt

When Mike was in the NBA wrecking sh!t, he had to be around a bunch of dudes that was listening to 80's rap staples like Rakim, NWA and KRS and even 90's staples like Nas, Scarface, Wu and 2Pac. Not saying that should automatically make him a rap fan, but I still find it funny that a dude who's career and clothing played, and still plays, such a HUGE part in our culture, doesn't like the music at all.

MJ only wore them kicks for work like nikkas wear steel toes for construction...he rolled in a circle of millionaires that smoke imported cigars, wear custom suits, and drink the kind of liquor that goes for 50 or more a shot.. like fukk a "top shelf" this here's that trap-door-into-a-fridge-behind-the-bar type shyt lol ..All this to say that when u rollin with bosses i highly doubt u gonna be spotted in the hood tossin back a 40 oz with the homies bumpin hard hip hop when u and your brand just see us people who rock it as "customers"
