And that South sh!t doesn't really mean anything either.

1. Hip Hop is large in the South.

2. Hip Hop was large in the South when Mike was in his teens and early NBA days. Mike's not that old. I'm sure in college he was around dudes that did nothing but play hip hop.

Cats in here acting like Mike is some old ass 70 year old cat from Mississippi.

Again, I still know that that doesn't automatically should make him a rap fan, but I still find it funny.
So because he doesn't listen to nothing but hip hop we should knock him??? You sound foolish. Add to the fact R&B at that time was still >>>>popularity wise

Who knocking him for not listening to hip hop? I said it was funny. You don't find it ironic that this man who's basketball career and sneakers/clothing plays such a big part in Hip Hop culture and the black inner city (East Coast, West Coast, Down South, Midwest) doesn't even like Hip Hop music? And R&B ain't got sh!t to do with this. I'm talking about Hip Hop.

Exclusive! Common Shares Story of Meeting Michael Jordan As Bulls Ball Boy

O ok. So there we have it. If Common isn't lying, which i don't see why he would be, Mike does like Hip Hop music, or did, at one point. That Southern thing didn't fly with me. Met plenty people around Mike's age from Down South that likes Hip Hop music. Wonder why he said he doesn't like it at all in the Bobbito interview though.

Common said Mike listened to Whodini. They were big in hip hop in the early/mid 80's.

Breh did you take a look at the story? :russ: the higher ups at first would not allow him to play songs like Whodini "Friends"in the locker room . I guess they thought it was too hard :dead:

I see what you're saying but there's a bunch of ballers that played with Mike, round his age, that love hip hop music. I just find it funny that his sneakers is huge in our culture and it's history and that he doesn't even fvck with the music at all.

are you surprised, coward?

Newsflash: Not all Black people listen to rap. and certainly not all of them understand it. Even frauds like you who pretend to like the culture.

see me.

The unknown
MJ is an Anita Baker, EWF, soul/jazz type of cat, not surprised he dont mess with rap, :salute:

THANK YOU!!

Was waiting for someone to mention this. People acting like all black people must listen to rap, and R&B and Jazz doesn't exist :heh:.
In one of those documentaries he is clearly shown bumping Mary J Blige in his red Ferrari.
