Great album that does MJ justice. My only complaint regarding the new versions is that they tend to be a tad over produced, like they just throw all these effects on it and getting in the way of letting Michael's voice shine and carry the song.

The originals are demos not finished studio versions if MJ went through on the song. This is the billie jean demo

I appreciate both versions being on the xscape album.

They should've put Tupac's albums out with the originals on them like this, it's most respectful to the fans and to the artist

With that said most originals in an unreleased catalog are actually not ready to be released, the process you heard on this album is called "Contemporizing" . . it makes sense for a pop album but not for a Tupac album . . example Michael Jackson, if he was alive today his album would come out with all of today's top producers . . he might not even make the choice, it would just feature the modern sound of contemporary pop music, Tupac's brand of music was complete with his own signatory sound . . putting him over 2005 ATL productions doesn't make sense in fact it's completely contrary to his brand of music

this shyt has 0 buzz or wont generate a single or anything :camby:

Y'all know at the height of their fame Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury were set to record an album together but creative differences (such as Michael Jackson bringing a llama to the studio) made the two drift apart

Michael Jackson Duets With Freddie Mercury Set for Release | Music News | Rolling Stone

They did record a version of "State of Shock"

She tried to live a double life
Loving me while she was still your wife
(She was wanting me)
She thought that loving me was cool
With you at work and the kids at school
(She was loving me)
She said that it would never end
Tried to keep me any way she can
(She was wanting me)
She lied to you, lied to me
Because she had a family, family
Yeah

:wow:

You'd be surprised just HOW REAL TALK This and Blue Gangsta is...those ain't just lyrics breh :sas2:

I've been eatin' off most of these tracks for awhile now, but it sounds good in its (somewhat) clear state. Remixes better than I thought :ehh: but get Timberlake the hell outta here :camby: Bruno Mars on LNFSG would have been interesting @Rapmastermind :leon:

:pacspit: the Michael "album" fake ass vocals.

I really, really fukkin' miss this nikka Mike man :to:

Damn that's pretty shocking to me, I didn't know he was still making heat like Chicago and Place With No Name in the late 90s those tracks sound more like his 80's prime years. And Loving You sounds like a Thriller era track :mindblown:

Especially with them vocals..it sounds like he recorded just when the Thriller promo was still rolling..

Which tracks on "Michael" were fake? I heard about Breaking News being one of them but what were the other ones?

If the originals weren't included I would feel a certain way about the remixes. Again they did a better job on this than "Michael". I'm happy no matter how incomplete they were I got to hear Michael's true vision of the songs on the originals.
