Most trash hitman ever. Missed the target and killed the wrong person, burned his employer as a result instead of charging it to the game because of the life he live, then go after the person who hired him in the end. Buddy worse than some of these black businesses out here with the customer service lol

I mean let’s be for real. I had to sit there and listen to this nikka ramble in his own head for 10-15 minutes straight about being perfect and professional and how to be successful only to miss. Then I had to listen to this nikka tell himself to not get attached, don’t get emotional, and trust no one only to get revenge on some business type shyt because he got emotional lol

So in the end, he killed everyone except the one he was hired to kill…..

1000!!!!!

Yo I'm dying at y'all thinking this killer was supposed to be fukking Thanos. He said as soon as it happened that he fukked up for the first time.

It's like those old school samurai movies. They were cold, but they fukked up too.

Lol the plot went over most folk's heads.

Its a day in the life of a mediocre hitman who isn't really built for that life longterm.

Didn’t like the ending. Doesn’t make sense that he’d handle the taxi driver the way he did and handle the guy at the end the way he did. It was already clear he didn’t care about risk when he went after the woman in the restaurant right out in the open.

the conversation with Tilda Swinton went over most of yalls head

Not gonna lie. I may have to run it back. To me she was just rambling about how she was careful and expected this day would come but now that it’s here she was having a hard time accepting it.

He killed the cabbie but robs the cab owner.

:what:

Someone told me that the cab driver was too comfortable around a killer smoking cigarettes and carrying on casual conversation so he had to be in on it.
Good point. I didn’t think of him not killing the cab owner. He put a mask on when he pulled the gun on the cab owner. I thought he was trying to be discreet at the time. I took the cab driver trying to smoke as a sign of nervousness not being casual

That's the point though. Dude is a psycopath that thought he had everything figured out. Then one day things don't work out like they are supposed and his mantras and methods have to be used for something else besides his job. In turn, we see how dude doesn't have shyt figured out and has to come up with different ways to erase the threat (temporarily?) to his and his girl's life.

I think he never though he safe house was in danger because he never thought he'd screw up a job. Again, dude thought he had everything mapped out and he learns he really didn't.
You are definitely right. I think the reason the movie feels off to me is that we are made to believe he's the protagonist and then slowly we realize he's the antagonist. Then at the end we realize there's no good guy in this movie and everyone is kinda lame so there's this void that causes discomfort.

The movie makes perfect sense if you ignore what the dude is telling you in his head “I’m this badass, unfeeling, professional who never messes up”. In reality he’s a middle aged emo who listens to The Smiths, does Yoga, has a loving girlfriend at home and wants to quit his job.

During the job shown he oversleeps, is impatient by not letting his heart rate go down, and doesn’t anticipate the actions of his target.

He even kills the secretary by making it look like she fell down the stairs so her family would get her life insurance. He then gets outsmarted by the meat head dude who nearly kills him.

He’s washed and not about that life anymore and he sure as hell isn’t killing some wealthy nerd who didn’t even know what was going on when he’s trying to retire.

Does that make it an amazing movie and social commentary? No. It was far too dry. Only the Tilda Swinton scene was really interesting.
