Bingo!!! They’ve seen how African Americans have called out others for appropriation(and rightfully so) and now they’re trying to copy off of that energy by returning the favor. So they see a small slight error and they go ham.“See!! See!! You Black Americans appropriate other people too!!”-type energy.
It’s not at all disrespectful and it’s annoying / embarrassing to see some of the emotional responses overshadowing the rational ones
we have people who’ve never even been to their parents island yapping on social media like they gonna do something and people dissing and threatening violence towards entire cultures and heritages over basically a nonissue
