Well the better hope they get lucky and find another qb in the draft cause I don’t see any other qb being an upgrade except Lamar and maybe Rodgers
If you give up on Dak you might as well blow it up and rebuild
I'm fine with that but I don't think Jerry is. They really need a couple years to do this though. This perpetual not good enough to contend for championships but not bad enough to get top picks is killing this fanbase.

Dak is playing for his future as the Cowboys QB next season. His contract is up in the 2024 season and I could see Jerry cutting him after the 2023 upcoming season if he lays another stinker.

I'm sure he knows this too. Betta holla at his black family on the other side of the tracks...the ones who aren't in jail (his words, not mine :yeshrug: )

Yeah we discussed this in the thread. After the 2023 season, he will have one year left on his deal. Basically, he will either get traded or extended by March or April of 2024. But he can be also be released however I don't see that happening. That four year deal helps both sides. He has a no trade clause but that can be worked around if Dak see that his future is no longer in Dallas. All of this is the Jones fault though. They should have signed him to a long term contract after the 2018 season or sometime during that season.

Those decisions won't be difficult. Whoever they got to get rid of to make the money work for the QB's is gone. Neither team is going to bat an eye.

Teams will probably be worst off when they have to let Higgins or Willliams walk cause of salary...but they will let Higgins and Williams walk cause of salary and just try to do it again in the draft.
Key word being “try” as they won’t have the luxury of picking that high again to replace those players. It’s why I say that we are about to see just how elite these QBs are when the talent isn’t as plentiful around them because of the cap.

He too stupid to make the obvious point that not all these quarterbacks are worth what they are getting.

I think the Ravens are making the wrong move with Lamar Jackson, but I get why they are doing it.

I think its the wrong move, but some of these QBs are getting absurd contracts that are fukking it up for others. Unless you have a prime Rodgers and Brady, Mahomes, and even a Burrow, you shouldn't be giving a large chunk of your salary cap to one position. The guy you give the money to has be a guy that can carry a franchise and not who you hope can carry a franchise.

no doubt. they kept breaking the bank for above average (cac) QBs and now it's made things ridiculous. No one dude should take up 20-25% of your cap space with 52 others to pay

Micah Parsons might talk too much. That's a judgment call.
But it's clear that in in only his 2nd year, he's the leader of that team.
It should say something that it was so easy for him to become the face of the Cowboys even though Dak has been there 7 years.

And he's right. Dallas' defense played well enough to win.
Dak and the offense have to own that.
I thought the offense was fine.

Its Dakota who has the own it

Yeah. Coming up in this season, Dak will take up 21.46% of the cap.

He wasn't huffing and puffing after Tampa and San Fran. And he gave trent williams one of his worst pff grades of the year. As long as he show up like that in big games he can say what he want
Oh one of his worst ppf grades? For real? Cause in the actual game Parsons got 0 sacks...0 picks...forced 0 fumbles...recovered 0 fumbles...and had 0 tackles for loss...

Somehow Micah did absolutely nothing in this game but you looking at a pff grade and saying "he showed up like that in a big game" :mjlol:

Parsons had exactly one more solo tackle than my grandmother and she been dead for 15 years:mjlol:

In a game with real life counting stats we talking about "pff grades" :mjlol:

That's what Micah should tell Jerry when its time for his new contract.

"I know I didn't get a sack or tackle for loss in the 4th quarter of the last 9 games but I gave Trent Williams a low pff grade so you need to pay me top tier money" :mjlol:

And last year 3 of the 4 weren’t on rookie deals not sure a non rookie deal is holding anybody back. If you don’t like Daks play he should just come out and say that
