I do think they probably did the right thing sending Jimmy away, bc we all do know the breh will make it ugly as hell when he wants to. But I just don't think it had to get to that point.

And I usually don't believe NBA media rumors, but I wouldn't be shocked if Riley, Mickey, whoever else in the brass believed they can beat Boston with fukking Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez. They work that man Spoelstra like an indentured servant.

Miami suspended Butler for the next 7 games.

I tried to tell y'all that Pat isn't going to trade Jimmy because they have no reason to do so.

They win more by just sitting his ass on the bench and letting him go at the end of the season rather than helping some contender or rival opponent get better. I'm all for Butler getting his last big payday but the ball isn't in Jimmy's hand; it's pretty much two options for him; either he accepts the pre-planned opt-in contract stipulation for next season or just leaves in free agency, but otherwise, Miami has no incentive to rush him on out of there.

Y'all talking about Miami could get picks for Jimmy :mjlol: Pat doesn't want any dayum picks; Miami isn't the type of organization to rebuild through the draft for consecutive seasons while they drop to the bottom of the standings like other teams; they're all about remaining competitive and being a playoff team at best and they're not gonna trade him for a bad contract (Beal, etc) which could fuk up their cap space.

It's like I said in my comment yesterday: they'll wind up sending him home if it's that much of a problem, and Spo knows how to keep the team's morale up despite the Jimmy Butler noise.

Jimmy has a player option, so that whole argument makes very little sense, especially financially. Seven games is about two weeks, and he will be gone by or before then.

all the local reporters are saying Jimmy is getting traded asap. This is more like the Shaq situation where Riley is completely fed up and he has Mickey’s approval

They 100% believe that. Mickey and his people are more involved than people think. He loves cac players

Has the Miami Heat thought of the option of just keep Jimmy on the team for the rest of the season, let him suffer, and then let him walk at the end of the season? Seems more simpler to do on the Heat's end

They want something back though, letting him walk isn’t an option. Would he actually opt out though?

The new CBA makes it harder to move him during the season, especially with him basically being a rental for another team. They have an unlimited amount of options if they just wait till the summer and Jimmy Butler walks

And they can call bluff on Jimmy. Will he really opt in to a contract on a team he supposedly hates?
