I remember watching the NCAA tournament and hoping Winslow would be the guy we got. Not to put him in the same class (yet) but I felt the same way watching Marquette in the tournament in 03.

Then Lebron and Bosh.

we don't even need justise to be great off the dribble right now, or even to be a major scoring threat. we have wade, dragic, bosh, and whiteside. dude is gonna be the 5th option on offense, which is the perfect situation for him. he can develop his game without much pressure, and become a defensive force on the perimeter which is exactly what we need right now.

Wade's 1st contract was his rookie one, so of course he wasn't gonna be the highest paid. his 2nd contract was his rookie extension which was gonna be lower than what Shaq was making. the 2 years that O'neal and Marion were on the team and making more were because they got that money from the team they were on prior to being traded to Miami. matter of fact the reason Miami traded Marion away was because he was going to want max money when his deal was up. the 2010 contract Wade signed was the Big 3 contract. He could have been the highest paid guy IF he wanted it. HE choose to go for less money to win rings which included giving some of his money up for UD.

Oh, this wasn't a knock against the Miami franchise. I just thought it was kinda crazy because he's been the franchise lynchpin for almost a decade but he's never been the highest paid player.

The Heat were never trying to screw Wade but Wade has pretty much been playing for much less than he's worth for a long time and he did with a Duncan-esque level of class.

If a few of those picks were Brooklyn's, I would of done it, they'll be bad for the next 4+ years. With that said I'm happy that we got Winslow, a 3&D player with Jimmy Butler ceiling is great at the 10th pick.
