One thing about our pursuit of LMA.

Riley must feel like he has a legitimate shot. No way he disrespects Bosh like that unless he's already talked to Bosh about possibilities.Riley being so loyal to players I can't see him being so blatant about it.

it's interesting that Aldridge is the one who initiated the convo with Riley. shyt like that is I guess why Riley has some confidence towards Durant next season

So we could watch Bosh get bullied in the post again? If LMA is not playing center, it is a waste of a trade to me.

I'm trolling
In an idea world, I'd just try to keep developing Winslow and Winslow, while we get bench minutes to Bazz and Ennis. :manny:

Q: Will this be Dwyane Wade's last year with the Heat? I assume Pat Riley's plan is to re-sign him for much more modest amounts in future years. But if he's going to take a big pay cut, Wade might decide to team up with you-know-who in Cleveland. -- David.

A: I can almost guarantee that this one-year deal is the start of a series well-delineated, pre-orchestrated future contracts with Wade that the Heat never will talk about. The money will keep flowing to Dwyane as the Heat maneuver through various payroll scenarios in coming years. In some ways, he signed a one-year lifetime contract. As long as the contracts are individual, Wade can take this current $20 million one-year deal, take a minimal one-year deal in 2016-17 in order for the Heat to add a free agent, and then take a max deal in 2017-18 once the roster is set. He could wind up being a very, very well-paid 40-year-old.

In other words... one of Micky's money bags gets misplaced in Dwyane's trunk :jawalrus:

I was thinking the opposite (only because I dont buy the story that Aldridge initiated the conversation). Knowing what we know now I believe it was always the plan to go after a big free agent this summer, hence the initial lower offer to Wade. Riley wasn't trying to get in the room with Durant in 2016, he was trying to get in the room with an Aldridge caliber player this summer.

If LA doesn't happen you can bet that Riley will be getting in the room with KD next summer.

I believe this.

You have the cap room THIS SUMMER. Go for it THIS SUMMER. For all we know Durant could break a leg this morning and never be that same again.

If you're gonna say we did that in 2010 thats different. In 2010 there were multiple big-name FAs on the market. Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Amare, Boozer and others. lightning walnut strike all 3 at the same time

LMA is a redundancy move for me. I just don't see the point when we already have bosh.
I love Bosh but LMA is a better player IMO. He's basically Bosh but more physical.

Bosh is the better defender but i just love LMA's arsenal of back-to-the-basket move and midrange jumper has always fascinated me.

He isn't a good fit for the Heat, Wade isn't a 3 point shooter and will do work in the mid range, Deng outside of those corner 3's will most like take it inside, Bosh is the stetch four that can shoot the three and mid range while Whiteside will eat up the paint.
