How we not gonna talk about the improvement of Canelo's jab though?.....he throws that shyt like a cannon and with pin point accuracy. Busted up Julio's nose early. Completely dictated the whole pace of the fight. :banderas:

Also noticed Canelo was throwing at different speeds and power. Usually everything he throws is a power punch. But he was mixin it up nicely last night. He's really putting it all together now. If he keeps improving on the footwork, he's gonna be hard to beat for anybody.

Damn near every fight he adds something to his arsenal :wow:

His jab looked to me a lot like Cotto' s jab. His improvement as a fighter has been really dope to watch man. Dude deserves his spot as the biggest draw. nikkas complain about the Liam Smith's when Canelo is 26 with Citto/Floyd etc on his resume and these nikkas stanning a 49yr old fighter who just got their best win in master boxer Danny Jacobs :dead:

nikkas are consistent when convenient out chea :mjlol:

The more I think about it the more I think Canelo gets knocked the fukk out. didn't even really consider his stamina issues.
GGG pressure + jab is going force Canelo to move all night long. then he is going have to load up on most of his punches early in order to get respect.
So canelo is going come in the biggest he's ever been most likely, have to move all fight long if GGG hurts him like he has every other fighter he's fought, deal with the jab, load up on all of his punches, and be at a pretty big size and power disadvantage.
In order for Canelo to win he's going have to fight the perfect fight basically as far as being pin point and economical with his punches. And he's going have to hurt a guy who ate punches from Lemeiux, Stevens, and Jacobs with ease. :patrice:
Nah dude. I'm gonna guess you said the exact same thing about DJ, before DJ out boxed triple G. Explain to me how Triple G is gna KO someone who's never been KD before? Let me guess....pressure+ the jab right :mjlol: when Canelo has the faster hands and will undoubtedly get off first. Whenever triple G gets popped w a hard jab he had to reset. Can't wait for September.

David didn't sit on his punches?:dahell:

All he does is sit on his punches, I just watched the fight last night.

David would beat canelo tbh, reason why they never fought.

Canelo does have fast hands but ggg faced Fighters who have fast hands too, all neutralized by the jab.
Dog you have some of the worst posts in this thread :scusthov: your boxing knowledge is minimal, or you're just bad at displaying it.

I agree with Bread's analysis of the fight. Also agree with @Newzz saying Canelo should hire an outside S&C coach. I think that really benefited Jacobs.

Bread’s Response: I’ve been telling you guys forever that GGG would not dominate Canelo. Now it has gotten to the point that most in the know view it as a 50/50 fight. So much so that Vegas is opening GGG as only a slight favorite. Golden Boy and Team Canelo has done a great job in putting this fight off until the perception changed. It pains me to say it because I have chosen to defend GGG’s greatness for several years. I strongly feel the only fighter who was willing to face him in his most destructive form was Andre Ward. I believe GGG was avoided by 3 straight lineal champions at 160lbs. Starting with Sergio Martinez and Miguel Cotto up until Canelo Alvarez. It has taken GGG 5 years to get a crack at the lineal title which is shameful. But I also feel this fight is 50/50 at the moment. In Golovkin’s last 16 rounds scored in his last two fights there is a chance he has won just 50% of those rounds. He took on two in their prime top 25 in the world type of fighters in Kell Brook and Danny Jacobs. But nevertheless he is not riding as high as he once was. I have seen this wait out scenario many times before….GGG is not a shot fighter by any means but he has proven to be human lately. Let’s just say the fight is ripe for Canelo. This fight reminds me of Hagler vs Duran. Hagler being GGG and Duran being Canelo. Duran was able to stay with the bigger Hagler for lots of spells because at time in his career Duran didn’t want to be a tracker and Hagler was in front of him. Canelo has never wanted to be one so GGG’s style plays into his hands. Hagler was 29 so he was younger than GGG is at the moment but he had that hard nosed technician style that couldn’t overwhelm the freakishly skillful Duran. If you watch the fight and score on who’s winning and not who is impressing you will see Hagler won cleaner than people realize. Nevertheless hardnosed technician don’t usually overwhelm skillful savants. Canelo is also bigger naturally than Duran. And much closer to his physical prime than the 32 yr old Duran was. I see Canelo winning earlier rounds with sharpness and crowd friendly flashy punches. I see GGG pulling even because of a busier workrate and that ram rod jab. The question in this fight is stamina. Both have stamina issues in their own way. Canelo could not force a stoppage on a clearly overmatched Chavez Jr because he doesn’t like to push. If he catches you and critically hurts you he will try to ko you. But he won’t turn up the volume to a point where he will force a stoppage. I believe it’s because he has explosive muscles and he is conscious to not allow himself to be drained. GGG on the other hand will push the envelope. His workrate is insane. But for some reason in the second third of his fights he needs a visual rest. I saw him huffing and puffing vs Kell Brook, Willie Monroe, Martin Murray, Kaseem Ouma and Danny Jacobs. That is too many times to be a coincidence. I have no idea why that happens to him but it is a concern. I believe Golovkin has the better natural stamina. Meaning he can exert himself more and recover better. But Canelo is faster, quicker and has better defensive instincts. Canelo also has a great counter to a jab which is Golovkin’s most important punch. Canelo likes to rest on the ropes and that is where GGG is most dangerous. Both fighters have excellent chins so I see this fight going some rounds if not the distance. You also have to factor in the effect Canelo has on the judges. He always gets the benefit of the doubt. I think he will vs GGG. GGG will have the burden of proof meaning he will have to do a little more to get credit. It’s not so much what Canelo did to Chavez. The more important factor is Canelo has been allowed to mature and wait out this fight, while GGG has been matched tough and looked human. Because of that Canelo will be riding super high with confidence.

I never said Chavez equaled little g. I said he has enough pop to hurt little g. There's a reason nobody stands in front of Canelo and trades shots. Everybody who does gets knocked out. I don't need to see Canelo beat up on bum ass Chavez to know he can beat little g. I said he would beat him long before this fight. The ONLY way little g wins is if Canelo gases, which is my only concern. Other than that, he has nothing for Canelo. Canelo even has a longer wingspan. The height difference will be minimal. I promise you little g's face will be a bloody mess by round 4. Canelo will target the body early and sap his power by the later rounds. It won't be a walk in the park cause I think little g is tough, but Canelo is just flat out more skilled and also has the heart for a war.

I still think they should bring in a conditioning coach for Canelo. His team has done a great job with him, but it can never hurt to have some extra help. If Canelo's stamina is on point, he'll beat little g decisively.
Yep. Get him Kenny Porter and Chris Algieri :russ:
