Ghostface. And its been that way for at least a decade. Even Meth complained about it a few years ago saying that critics were dikkriding Ghost and ignoring the efforts of other clan members
From a artistry standpoint sure, but Method Man is still by far away the most recognizable Wu member in the mainstream

To be real... most of the people going to these shows aren't there for star-fukking purposes... so while Method is the most popular member besides Dirty, it's not REALLY the end-all be-all if he's NOT there, because even without him, you still get the bulk of their classic combined material. It'd be great to have all the members there obviously, but as some people have already said, if you know Wu shows, you know just having 7 of 'em there is an improvement :pachaha:

As someone that has seen them often, with the full lineup and missing members, in different cities, AND in the days pre-Dirty death where there'd be maybe 5 and the rest Killabees, they barely do Meth songs anyway. You get Method Man...where he names 100 Wu members like Clan in Da Front...and he and/or Street does Suspect Chin Music or Grid Iron Rap. That's it...I've seen Bring Da Pain only once. Songs he's on, they do without him. Rae, Ghost & Cap do Ice Cream without him, CREAM gets done with out him, But I've also seen RZA be the one that brings the most energy. I've seen times where Ghost goes on a rant...not recently though...and the crowd gets hype.

But I've also seen Meth & Red, and their energy is better...at least for the first 10 secs before a Philly crowd turns into a Philly crowd...head nods & adlibs.

I think the 25th Anniversary Tour was probably the best time for most of those up in arms to see them. They were all there, they also had a formula - doing 36 Chambers, then breaking off into the rest of the catalog.

They looked like they were on point for the 25th.

"Got crazy women so I know when nikkas is feminine" - Roc Marciano on "Liquid Coke"

Meth is that dude but deserves the 'Ghostface - "Man, kill that shyt, man, nobody tryna hear that shyt, man! " tour bus treatment for this one.

Ole "I got options' finger snap, neck roll ass
It might have came off wrong to some people the way he said it but at the end of the day he earned that sh*t. Touring with niccas city to city, busses/fights, different hotels, non stop arguments, making sure you get the show dough, eating bad drinking too much, etc. Instead of that he's more than likely getting three times as much off this one movie while only having to sit in a plush upscale trailer and remember his lines. He grinded for years and earned that. This dude reinvented and pivoted himself on the fly into a whole new career and lane for his later years. Gotta give nothing but props to that

I've been saying this sh*t since the 90's, Mef hasn't cared about Hip Hop since Tical dropped.

Once he started seeing that movie and TV bread, his music sh*t always seemed lazy and half-assed. And RZA said that now, trying to get Mef to do something takes all this work with agents and lawyers and all that. So it's almost like he feels he's owed more than the other members because he's acting and has other outlets. Which is corny.

I've seen Wu perform without him before, and you don’t exactly feel like him being there is necessary. You want to see him there, but they can definitely still rock the crowd without him. There's way too much classic music in the catalogue to let one absence stop the show.

Thats always been the problem with groups. One blows up and then it actually becomes an inconvenience financially to split the money however many ways.

We’ve seen this with the Jacksons, the Supremes, New Edition, Destiny’s Child, and so on and so forth.

In Wu’s case you got Meth, Ghostface, Raekwon, GZA, and RZA that could make more money on their solo endeavors than as part of the group. Thats why they forced RZA to implement the “tiered” system which he didn’t want to do but agreed with, which led to even more tension and ill feelings amongst the group. Hell i’m surprised with all of the in-fighting throughout the last few years that its only Meth thats missing this time around.

How else are the rest of them going to make money?
