Playing on hard doing the necromancer mission the last day after bs'n. Spent a couple days dungeon diving then crawling out because my MP on 0. Got to the reflect monsters near the crystal straight :unimpressed: any encounter and it seems like they're going to wipe me out :what:
I just started the game, and decided I would play on hard for more of a challenge. I hate and love it at the same time. One wrong move and it's :damn:. I barely beat the Necromancer by spamming a sythesis attack. I feel as though this game isn't as rewarding as Persona when you exploit an enemie's weakness.

81hours in and finished it. Mastered all archetypes for the protagonist.

I damn near platted this by accident, looking at these trophies I missed shyt like:

Cook all meals (only one I missed out on is the final meal because I figured out too late that gauntlet shrooms are in the pantry)
Win all debates (pretty sure I at least debated everyone, but I lost one or two)
Cook with Maria (never tried)
Spend a significant time skating (never really bothered with the skating shyt)
Defeat the final boss without weakening it (had no idea)
Rescale dragon which is new game+ shyt

ILL game, worthy to be up there with the Megatens and Personas. Not sure when I'll go back for the plat but not anytime soon though.

Half way through this thing. Game is great but it's not hitting like Persona 5/Royal did.

The gameplay is better and I prefer the Archetype system to Persona's.

But something is just not the same.

The music isn't as good but P5 is the GOAT in that aspect imo.

Maybe I'm not connecting to the characters as much. Possibly because I'm 8 years older than when P5 dropped lol.

The story is epic and seems to scale that way but twist and turns of P5 still stay with me.

I have time over this holiday tho so I'll see where I stand. Even if it's not as good to me the game is still fire as fukk :heh:

Alonzo rank 3 :picard:

I went from feeling dude is a scumbag to completely feeling sorry for him. They did him absolutely dirty and there's still 5 ranks left :damn:

If Persona 6 keeps this more mature and darker tone with updated graphics and gameplay :wow:

For me personally Alonzo was the best follower story.

I think that’s gonna be the difference between the two IPs. Persona is gonna lean more weeb/anime while Metaphor is more serious/mature.

How the two games handle romance tells you every you need to know:lolbron:

I have 7 more days until the final quest. I am liking this game a lot, and I will try to finish it before new years. I think the writing for this is better than the persona series, and it felt like a nice change they needed for persona like games. It's still crazy this is probably ranked 3rd for my favourite jrpg Sega published this year. I still have Infinite Wealth and P3R as my top 2 rpg of the year

Yea. I can say this was my favorite RPG of the year. Fantastic story and execution and it's kind of crazy how they basically made a few tweaks to the Persona flow and the addictive character building.

Congratulations Atlus you did it again you clever b*stards.

Spire of Blind Faith :unimpressed:

Beat it in one day but this was the typical "fukk you" to the player Atlus always does.

JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH :damn:

I understand that this is the main dungeon for the Virga Island but

tenor.gif

I've been in this bytch so long, I've actually mastered every archetype I have equipped :dead:

And apparently the Ear Human was just the midboss :mjtf:

I'm done for the day. Every JRPG HAS to have a dungeon that overstays its welcome and its fukking annoying

That's just the Atlus way. I still got PTSD from SMT 3
