The only thing a lot of people hear during discussions about Medicare for All, or Single Payer, or any other government healthcare program is that their taxes will increase.
But for some reason, the same people never seem to hear the part about how you won't have to pay insurance premiums anymore.
You won't have to pay deductibles.
You won't have to pay copays.
There won't be some middleman trying to make a profit between your payment to the hospital. Instead your tax dollars will go directly to the hospital.
You won't have to pay the emergency room costs for people who had easily-preventable conditions.
The expanded risk pool will lower overall costs for everyone.
