The crazy thing is that the government could even be stingier and have copays and low deductibles in place.

Remember that copays and deductibles were created to limit people's usage of health services. The problem is that insurances make so much profit when they combine premiums with limited health usage

The government should keep deductibles and copays. Just make them low enough to where you don't get punished for using health services.

Exactly! We have the insurance companies in our pay checks, cable, car notes, and day care. Apparently the companies have more unity than the people.
