In my opinion, it's best for the woman to pick the first date. You won't be taking me to your usual date spot that you to your last 12 dates to. & I'll be sure to have a good time even if I don't like you.

To be honest I usually say " are you interested in a place"? If she says yes, we'll go to her spot. If not, I probably will take her to a restaurant that I thought about before hand. I usually have a idea where I would like to go, but I'm not a real believer on making absolute decisions when it comes to dating.

I don't use people for meals. I would never want to go out to eat on the first date, that's boring and uncomfortable to me. Most people would want to go out to eat though, which is why I would rather pick the date. I like activity dates, not meal dates as the first date. I was saying even if I decide I don't like the guy after the date, at least I enjoyed myself b/c it was something that I wanted to do.

Regardless of the type of date the man should choose because worse case scenario if it doesn't work out atleast he enjoyed himself.
